True. He is, however, completely insane.

One way to summarize his long letter is to say that there is no justice, only law.

True. But it has always been so. Courts & bureaucrats will always uphold laws, never considering justice. We just have to accept this. And realize that every now & then, one of the sheep will jump the tracks and fly a plane into a Federal building. But despite this minor bump in the road, the system continues as it always has, and always will.

My own answer, BTW, is to play the system. It's bigger than me, nothing I'll ever be able to take on and conquer. So I learn its tricks & secrets, subvert it with its own rules. And eventually get what I want. The Army taught me that in the final analysis, when day is done, all that matters is who won: me or them.

People could have died in that crash. Why would people make fun of it?

    No. No. He's a patriot! icon_rolleyes.gif

Honestly, I'm not surprised. This is McVeigh redux. It's Intra-American terrorism.

    OK, Captain Obvious.

Did you not just - in the posting above GQJock - say the terrorists "why I did it" letter was "very interesting and pretty spot-on"? icon_evil.gif

Yes. Even a raving lunatic can make sense.

How Jumbo shrimp of you icon_rolleyes.gif
To turn an act of terrorism into an oxymoron
So as you're saying the people who lost their life savings due to overzealous mortgage brokering can go and firebomb the commodity trading floor?

    They'd be a raving lunatic ...... but they'd make sense ... right? icon_neutral.gif

However, he does bring up valid points in his letter.

Again, here is where you jump the shark. This man is a terrorist. If anyone on here whom you deem a liberal ever suggested that Al Qaeda or the IRA had a genuine beef with the US gov't, you, and your ilk, would be decrying us as sympathizing, anti-American communists.

Perhaps he's just classifying you as a member. I know I have.

PS - I promise you that I'll stop using this image sometime in the near future, here and elsewhere (j/k), but right now, it's just too handy (wink wink).

I'm not saying anything of the sort. You're making assumptions that I somehow condone what he did. I do not.

As someone who lived in Battery Park City in Manhattan from 1987 until 2003, I am quite sensitive to the thought of airplanes being flown into buildings (if you are not familiar with Manhattan geography, look up Battery Park City on a map and you'll see what I mean).

However, he does bring up valid points in his letter.

Dude ...... your contradictory quotes are right there in front of you

and as a born and bred New Yorker who's lived in Manhattan for a good portion lost someone on 9/11 you don't wanna compare things with me

Try and think before you talk or at least fess up when someone catches you in a lie

It's very interesting and pretty spot-on.

Using you words .... How close to "I condone what he did" do you need to be before you actually say it?

If anyone else tries this sort of thing and survives, hopefully they're taken behind a shed and shot. This guy was a coward. Those government workers were just doing their jobs and have families to support. It's not right to target them. My parents both worked for the government, and I would have been devastated if someone had pulled some crap like this where they worked and I lost one or both of them.

You get a standing ovation from me on that idea!! I've said it before on other threads and I'll say it again, the more we focus on Middle Easterners for terrorism, other races, including whites, will get their act accomplished. I think al qaeda is recruiting European and American whites already.

So... go ahead and try twisting it again if that's what you feel you must do.

No twisting necessary You're doing a pretty good job yourself
