Nice. It always amazes me that some argue against seatbelts. Goes along with saying that smoking doesn't cause cancer and that the Earth is flat.

I just saw A Single Man. Was I the only one to think "if only Jim wore his seat belt..."?

No, I was just so happily surprised by Jon Kortajarena's appearance in the movie. (L)

I would recommend this type of commercial over the ones that are more graphic and realistic such as this commercial: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=5265511n&tag=related;photovideo

They both have the same impact, and we don't need to be shown violence and gore to have a point proven.

    Wow...that is awesome....I am tingling.

I just wrote to the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership congratulating them on such an awesome "commercial" ("commercial" seems like a tawdry word for such a creative piece.)

Thats HQ part of the movie that really should get the thought across to most people.

I posted it on my facebook.

The thing is people get all upset about people having guns.

Well how about 3000 to 5000 pound projectile that can go 25-100 mph.

I think the 3000 to 5000 lbs projectile is pretty dang scary... people need to respect they are driving a projectile that can and will kill life.

Excellent.. it does get your attention and thought provoking. I wear mine all the time. My bf doesn't, however. We've talked about it, but he just doesn't
    get it clicked.

Yes, but then he wouldn't really be single man then, would he? icon_wink.gif

Of course he would. The Fates would have still gotten Jim, just another way.

Man I thought everyone wore seatbelts these days. I remember some pretty girl in college saying "It's not just about saving your life, it's so your face doesn't get fucked up either."

wow!! quite touching and quite effective to its message!
although it can also be applied on how important is to
embrace caring and loving our human relationships.
I don't know if I am the only one who caught on to
    that message!?

(Who else can't escape Fate, that's another question.)

If everyone saw the results of not wearing them in an accident that I see this would not be an issue.

Even though I am HUGELY against being told to wear a seatbelt, and do not wear one, this was a truly moving commercial. icon_cry.gif
(Although I do hope they produce more commercials other then just showing the perfect little hetero family.) icon_rolleyes.gif
I would grade this an A-

I have seen it. I was involved in a motorcar accident that involved a fatality whom was not wearing a seatbelt. I was trapped in my car, but was shown the accident photos. Rather gruesome. icon_eek.gif
