people interested in fiinding a wrestling match (submission, freestyle, erotic,

ect.) or just interested in wrestling. I can't seem to find anyone interested in

wrestling on this site, anyone who isnt like 40 years old at least lol. So if i

I would take you on, if you were on the right side of the pond ;-)

You can try allfighters.info or globalfight (the latter is probably the biggest site, but of limited use if you don't pay for a membership). There are also lots of Yahoo! groups.

You may want to try this site as well. Though some of the guys on the site are looking for a little more than just wrestling.

    http://www.globalfight.com/

I must say, the folks I met up w/ and wrestled with are the real deal.

Are you interested in real, legit wrestling? I coached high school wrestling for ten years and the people here who contact me about it are usually creepy fetishists. If you're looking for info about real amateur wrestling I can help.

OK, I've got to chime in on this one. Every time you belittle people who are sexually attracted to wrestling, people who are ALSO able to compete "legitimately", you do this kind of damage referenced in the clip. It is basically another form of homophobia, and the end result is less people get into wrestling because you tell them they must be "creepy".

Two points: First, I coached high school wrestling for ten years, won a state championship as a coach in 2000. I worked my ass off to be a good coach and that often meant assuaging kids' fears and perceptions that wrestling was just "guys rolling around on each other." I also think that wrestling is the best competitive sport kids can get involved with. So when I see people make a mockery of the sport because it's something they don't understand and it's something they get off on it, it offends me personally. When I see footage or photos of guys in gay sporting events "competing" in wrestling who clearly have no idea what they're doing but want to roll around and make a public spectacle of themselves it pisses me off. This is the oldest known form of human competition. People wrestled before they ran races against each other. So excuse me if people making a mockery of something that is deeply personal to me is offensive.

Second, this is purely anecdotal, but the point I was making was that people who have contacted me over the years about wrestling had no intention of anything other than using as a very thinly veiled attempt to have sex. These are the standard profiles on here with no face pics and very limited data in the profile. And, yeah, the word I would use to describe the people who have contacted me would be "creepy." There is nothing homophobic about calling out creepy people for being creepy.

If somebody legitimately wants to get into the sport they should check out this website:

    http://usawrestling.org

USA Wrestling is the governing body for the sport in the US and this site should have a ton of information about high school and college programs as well as legit competitive wrestling clubs. This should be the definitive site for the info the original poster is seeking.

You really should watch this entire documentary where I interview tons of adult wrestlers, gay and straight, all over the country: at amateur wrestling tournaments, pro indy shows, and more. Many have coached longer than you have. I think it may open your eyes a bit. Also, the OP of this post wrote "(submission, freestyle, erotic, etc.)"
