I'm a college student traveling to europe with school for 8 weeks starting june 16. I am a pretty hard gainer and am finally at a place where I am pretty happy with my body. So I am concerned about going that long period of time without lifting, however I also want enjoy that experience and not have be worried about keeping fit.

What kind of preparation should I do before I leave? Should I change my workout or diet so my losses are not as much? Will the break be good for my body? Are there certain things I can do easy on my own (push-ups, dips, etc.) without weights or equiptment that would best help maintain what I have?

Any advice from experienced people would be appreciated!

    Peace,
    Tim

i had a similar circumstance. i had to turn to bodyweight exercises and had such great progress from it that i never went back to weights. bodyweight exercises are things that gymnasts and wrestlers do. these guys have the best bodies(in my opinion). bodyweight exercises are much more than just pushups. check out mattfurey.com for some cool programs.

Where in Europe are you traveling?
If you're in a hotel situation many have in house gyms now
at least in the larger cities
you can also do what I call maintenance exercises
...go for a run (great way to get to see a city)
    push-ups
    climb stairs
    dips btw chairs
    pilate moves....etc
