HE is SOO hot. (And she's cute too). No reason to apologize. He worked hard, he won a medal and now he's having some well deserved fun.
    Nobody should be offended.

He's supposed to be a representative of the United States. He should be ashamed of himself.

I say, from now on... no humans should be representatives for the US... ever.

I am so tired of humans giving this country a bad name. All the role models I have looked up to have eventually let me down. Those damn humans!

This guy should have known better--then again he's just a stupid human.

NO MORE HUMAN REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE US!

Did you ever hear about the stories about what the hockey players have done with the Stanley Cup? This is very very mild compared to some of those! icon_rolleyes.gif

I agree. If it had been a guy doing it to the medal, there would be a huge uproar.

Americans always make an uproar about everything. Anyway, it´s symbolic: much of the world IS America´s bitch.

He gets a pass for extreme hotness.icon_razz.gif

Besides, he's a snowboarder. For them, this is well behaved if not downright teetotalingly prudish behavior.

    It's bullshit:

    http://www.canada.com/topics/bodyandhealth/story.html?id=1bc705fd-b1b3-444b-9b7b-60672c003be8

"BEIJING -- The Sydney Olympics ran out. Athens doubled the number. So organisers of the Beijing Games are hoping 100,000 condoms will satisfy the needs of Olympic athletes.

While sex is not an Olympic sport it is expected to be an activity in the Beijing village housing 10,500 athletes, all of whom are in great shape and with plenty of free time on their hands once knocked out of the Games.

Athletes have received free condoms at every Olympics since Barcelona in 1992 to help raise awareness of AIDS, and Beijing is no exception.

“There are many young, strong, single people in the athletes' village and, like everywhere, some will fall in love or other things so we need to make condoms available,'' Ole Hansen, spokesman for UNAIDS China, told Reuters."

The U.S.' international reputation is shot. The last thing it needs is for some immature, cocky, brain dead punk to add needless fuel to this fire.

Regardless of how hot he is, or the sport he plays, the simple fact to the matter is that this is the Olympics, not the fucking X-Games or your typical corporate-sponsored sporting event.

You all remember the point of the Olympics, right? All sportsmen are there representing more than themselves. They are there because they're supposed to be the best of the best - representatives of their sport, their country and their people. They should act accordingly.

Perhaps an apology should have been enough, that it was in poor taste using an Olympic medal. But to send him home and miss the closing ceremonies? After he's become a medal winner for the US?

As for the US international reputation already being shot, I can't think how this could further tarnish it. On the contrary, this will now reinforce the world view that the US is controlled by neurotic Christian fundamentalists, not far removed from the Taliban except in which holy book they read.

This is simply stupid. The Olympic Committee has had to up their supply of condoms given to athletes for the last three consecutive games... now why are we pretending that these young, virile people at the top of their game also have to practice puritanism?

    Plus, he's hot.

Oh please... its his effing medal. He can do whatever he wants with it. He earned it on the halfpipe, it doesnt belong to the United States. There's nothing shameful about what he did. He was probably drinking and being stupid, and someone snapped a pic as if it was so scandalous. It's not like he whipped out his dick or something....

#1)The medal isn't a holy relic, and should be treated like one. We have enough of that crap already. (Though I will admit I am being a bit of a hypocrite here. When I got the chance to touch one of the medals awarded to the 1980 US hockey team, I treated it like a holy relic, and my legs got a tad wobbly too lol)

#2)I don't see anything shocking in that photo. And certainly nothing either of the subjects should be ashamed of.

#3)I'm sure there are situations in Harvey Levin's past that he wouldn't necessarily want posted on TMZ, but he is happy to post of others.

#4)I'm sure as Hell glad there was no such thing as a cell phone camera when I was in college!

#5)If you are going to let snowboarders into the Olympics what do you expect?

#6)Long gone are the days of the Olympics as a European aristocratic institution meant to showcase the moral and physical superiority of the upper classes (Though the IOC is still run like a European aristocratic institution.) These athletes aren't our ruling elite, and they shouldn't be treated like they are.

Seems to me like they are just making a huge deal out of nothing major. It's not like he had his cock out and some girl was giving him a blow job. Granted, not exactly in the best of taste to have a pic like that floating around during the Olympics, but it's not like he shot one of the judges either - sheeesh!

Oh, good grief...Get A Grip!!! The only people who will think this is such a big deal are the uptight Americans...and probably a small percentage at that. Europeans, Canadians, and probably everyone else in the world will see it for what it is -- a young medal-winning Olympian snowboarder celebrating and just being silly. If that had been an Australia snowboarder, or one from Europe, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. I'm so bummed that this guy will miss the closing ceremonies. I think they should bring him back.
