I thought I'd post this cause on here in case any of you creative minds are out there.

I have this task of building models of Australian landmarks/buildings. Of course I have chosen the most obvious --- Sydney harbour bridge, the opera house, and Uluru (ayers rock). I have an idea to create the harbour bridge out of spray painted popsicle sticks making it about about 3 feet in length. I have no idea what what else I could do so if anyone out there is creative, can you please lend some advice???? How could i make the opera house or uluru?

I have also decided to mimick a didgeridoo, a boomerang, create a large flag, etc...

    Anything would help!!

    Cheers

Wasn't the shape of the Opera inspired by billowing sails? So use linen and shape it with glue.

I thought the opera house was taken from a large spherical shape cut into melon shaped slices??

"The Opera House was finally completed, and opened in 1973 by Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia. The architect was not invited to the ceremony, nor was his name mentioned."

The architect wasnt even invited to the opening ceremony! ... icon_eek.gif

I see the roof is referred to as "sails," but I cant find anything to say that sails were its inspiration.
