I remember when tight jeans were the standard. They made any one with a halfway decent bod look twice as sexy. Now, we have those acursed baggy pants. From 1986, take a look at John Eddie in the YouTube video- Jungle Boy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuY3Fgrk7cU Then be sure to tell us all what you think about it.

Yeah, I agree 100%. I'm a guy that's pretty in tune with fashion and from what I remember, baggy jeans went out when I was in 5th grade. That would be... a good 6 years ago? Yup! I think it looks lazy as all hell when a guy wear's baggy jeans.

I would have to say - at least in LA... from what I can tell the super slim fit phenomenon is alive and well. icon_eek.gif

My mom got me these Rock&Republic jeans for xmas - and I couldnt even fit one testicle into them!!! I dont think men who workout even minimally, can get their thighs into these things. I find the brand Antik Denim to be a happy medium, 'cuz they are close to the body, look good, but allow you to be comfortable as well.... us jocks need a little more space to maneuver icon_lol.gif

    Hmmm,

I personally hate tight jeans. They are too blatant and obvious.

Fun fact for everyone here - If you have a rockin' body, you will look fabulous and sexy in anything you wear. Why do you think International Male is still in business selling the hideous clothes they do? The models are HOT, so they make the crap look fantastic.

I loved my baggy jeans for the way they hung off my hipbone, barely staying up by sheer nature of the curve of my ass.

Amazing,I just tossed my last pair of baggy jeans last week and went out and bought a classic pair of Levi's 505,s,the zipper fly version of 501.They feel and look great.LET THE RETURN TO TIGHT JEANS BEGIN!!icon_biggrin.gif

I have stayed away from those 501 buttonfly jeans in the past, just because its much easier to (carefully) use a zipper. Is it really worth it to have to fumble with all of those cussed buttons? What's the mystique of the 501 jeans?

Speaking of tight jeans, when I was a teenager I saw one of the hottest men on television, Alan Autry on that show "in the heat of the night with carrol o'conner and that was one of the pivitol moments in my life when I realized I was gay.God that man was hot.Do you know who I am talking about?I think their are some videos of him on you tube under "men in tight jeans"If you don't know who I am talking about you must see it him to understand what I mean.I think he is the mayor of some city in california now.Lucky residents.

To MARITIMEGUY Yes, I remember Alan Autrey, he had a very nice "V" and other physical attributes of note. I see that he is/was the mayor of Fresno.

I wear all sorts of jeans. I have some skinny diesel jeans too. In Europe not many guys go baggy.

I do have some baggy jeans too. I like to wear them, when I am in a lazy mood.

That doesn't mean that I don't look good in them though. The girls like it.

a quote from JARHEAD, "I personally hate tight jeans. They are too blatant and obvious". Jarhead, when you say too blatant and obvious, I assume that you are suggesting that tight jeans are typically found on gay people, rather than on heteros. One of the reasons I posted this video was to focus back on a time period when the typical mode of dress for young males was,to some of us, more homo-erotic, as compared to today. Let me paint a clearer picture, for you and others. I graduated from high school in 1975, so I will go back in my mind to lets say 1973. I look around me and what do I see? More than half of the average looking guys around me have the standard uniform of that day. The denim jacket and the tight jeans. The denim jackets used to be available in fitted sizes and would accentuate the natural male "V". (Try to find a fitted Levi's jacket nowadays. They don't make them. Just the oversized jackets that hang off the shoulder, rather than framing the shoulders.) Tight jeans were the standard back then! Everyone wore them, from the football team to the chess club. There was not an association between tight pants and gayness, because most people were not as savy as today about homosexuality. My grand mother used to say that some people look like they were poured into their jeans. Different people like different things about tight jeans. Some like to focus on the accentuated "mound". Others like to focus on the butt. I like how it makes the combination of the ass and legs look from many angles. It enhances the male architecture, the male "lines". This video is very sexually charged. It is brimming with male sexuality. I could sit and watch an endless loop of it, but my mind might turn to mush. This look was actually considered perfectly straight back then. Thank you for your alternate view. It gave me an opportunity to say what I've said here.

Intersting comment, but I wasn't singling out gay men with my opinion. I personally feel that tight clothing really only works on folks with killer bodies, because, whoa, you can see the body underneath. Looser clothing is more subtle, but if the body is rockin' underneath, you can still tell through the clothes because of the way they drape over the form.

I hate tight jeans. They are extremely ugly. I think the only thing worse then tight jeans on guys is ... oh wait there is nothing worse. Thats right Bush is better then tight Jeans, and I am not of fan of him.

You don't need to go from one extreme to the other. It does not have to be tight or baggy. There are nice regular fit jeans.

I would rather see baggy then tight. Mystery is good.

Jeans...I want comfort first and then good looks. As long as they aren't half way down your ass and look like they need to be pulled up to cover your butt or to keep the crotch from hanging between your knees or have your boxers hanging more outside, above, than inside of your jeans...wear what you like. Mine tend to be more form fitting, however, I am told frequently that I don't have an ass, so I need to do something to keep them on!

I love tight jeans. Always been that way.
Why I like them? I guess it is for the look. The way the butt and thighs look. Feel.
I can wear regular fit jeans, infact I have quite a few of those. But baggy, nothing can be worse. they gove a clumsy look. Simply hate them. Better wear pajamas, if lazing around is the objective.

i work in retail, and its the good looking guys that buy the fitted jeans and the, well .. "ugly" guys that are obviously straight and married and have no use for any fashion whatsoever that buy the bootcuts, lol, if that helps this conversation, lol
