Crazy question: Does anyone know where to find the Rave version of Carmina Burana', O Fortuna?

I found something close to it, I think: Apotheosis, and Linkin Park; Does anyone know for sure? My local music store does not carry them? Any recommendations?

I recall seeing it on one of those compilation cds, like 'White Party Mix" or "Greatest Club Mix."

Maybe search for it by title and "club version" or "club mix."

    Good luck. :-)

Years ago you could find it on a CD titled Rave 'til Dawn. You should be able to find it, but there are 2 vewsions of the CD and one does not have O Fortuna on it.

You are correct on the artist though, Apotheosis. They also put out a single of it. Again years ago.

I think I found the song that you're talking about....I LOVE Carmina Burana and I jumped at the chance to hear a remix (lame I know lol). Well anyways, I uploaded it onto my page.

    O Fortuna!

Yep - that's the one - I remember actually being in a night club in South Africa when they played this - the club had the most spectacular light and laser show I'd ever seen and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven it was so intense - the music and the light - WOW!!!!

I still get goosebumps every time I hear this. I used to sing in a 200 strong choir and performed the classical version of this and that too was an awesome experience indeed.

Thanks for sharing. Brings back very good memories!

    PEACE

I remember having the CD single for this years ago when the track came out. It was pretty obscure and I had to get it through a shop catering to DJ's. Not long after buying it, the copies dried up and disappeared.

The explanation I was given (and I haven't really researched this) is that apparently the group never bothered to obtain the rights for the recording of O Fortuna they used. Apparently they sampled a recording and heavily remixed it without taking copyright into consideration.... Thus why the track has gotten tough to find.
