it was a legitimate ad, though rather silly.

titled old motorcycle taking up space?"

QUOTE AUTHOR GOES HEREI'm a college student at Sam Houston State University and I'm looking to help you out.

You've got an old honda, or suzuki or other small engine motorcycle that you bought a long time ago when you first decided to learn to ride, and you've either long since upgraded or given up on it, and that poor machine is taking up space and collecting dust. It almost makes a man want to cry; but don't fret, I can help you out, and you can help me out.

between tuition and my gas guzzling car, I don't have much money, and am looking for something to ride to and from class. Your motorcycle will be treated with love and respect. She won't be raced, and she'll be pampered as much as I can. I know this is a ridiculous long shot, posting an ad on craigslist that says "hey give me your old motorcycle" but it's either this or just look at everyone's ads going "man I wish i had some money."

If anyone is still reading and interested, I can be reached through email here or at XXXXXXXXXX. I'll even come pick it up!

    I don't get it.

People generally get annoyed by those "give me something for nothing" ads. Often times, people that ask for free stuff are just looking for stuff to turn around and resell. And a motorcycle is definitely something easy to resell.

Just post an ad that says you're looking for a cheap motorcycle and indicate how much you're willing to pay. You'll definitely get responses. Forget the sob story. No one is gonna bite.

Also, phone numbers are allowed in for-sale and wanted ads. But they are not allowed in Personal ads.

yeah, and I figured out that I should've posted it in "items wanted" and not motorcycles/scooters.
