For me, it was probably "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" with Don Knotts. He had to spend an evening in a haunted house where a murder took place, and the piano upstairs would play on its own. The sound of that piano playing freaked me OUT.

How about you? Remember, this is a movie you saw as a kid.

Listen to what the piano played:

    Nightmare on Elm Street!

I had continuous bad dreams that he was trying to kill my classmates and I in my school's gym. The outcome would change, but that was always the scenario.

There was bad movie called "Killer Grizzly". I was probably 5 or 6 at the time and I had nightmares for weeks. In retrospect, any film that has a bear taking out a helicopter and can only be killed with a bazooka, probably wasn't as scary as I thought it was.

The Wolf-Man (Lon Chaney edition). I still want to re-rent this to see it now. I can see one scene from it in my head still in which he's in full wolf makeup and peeking around a tree in the mist. From there, I did have a fear of wolves in movies (I second the Never Ending Story wolf).

Random, but I was also terrified of the show The Incredible Hulk. Of course reruns came on right after some show I watched (think it was Transformers maybe?) and I had it timed perfectly to hit the remote to change fast. However, I do remember one time at my grandparents house where I went to the bathroom too late in the commercial. The show started and I had to run and change the channel fast! icon_smile.gif

Trilogy of Terror - especially the last one part with the freaky little voodoo doll

Bad Ronald - a kid was living inside the walls of a house hiding from police. Then his mom dies and the house is sold...with him still living in the walls.
