Who's been? Who wants to go?

This video reminded me of the time I went with then new boyfriend (although he wasn't wearing a mask!)
It was a rush and I see how people can get addicted to it!
One odd impression was that nearly everyone jumping that day was very fit. All you do is fall out of the sky!

I went years ago and absolutely loved it. I'd wanted to do it for a long time, and a few friends and I decided to go for it.

It was a hell of a lot of fun, and it certainly helped things that the guy I was jumping tandem with was really damn hot.

I went for a Tandem Jump about 12 years ago. I enjoyed it, but have not done it again (or taken the Solo jump lessons).

I think it something that people should try, but it is not for everyone.

I'll say it's not for everyone. I'd be followed (or preceded) by a thin pink ribbon of my own throw-up.

Did it several years back with my brother and my father on his 50th birthday....

I think it's an awesome experience and everyone should give it a shot....that said, it's not like a roller coaster ride...you don't lose your stomach...at least I didn't - so it wasn't as big of a rush as I had expected.

And once the chute opens, the quiet peacefulness and the view are both absolutely amazing.

That reminds me a co-worker asked me to go skydiving (2002) with him,...jump off from 10,000ft,

    "are u crazy?"

he laughs, "it's fun, u'll like it,"

"no way, I don't think I have the stomach 4 it,"

    "u'll b fine,"

    "I don't think so,"

    "Okay, how about camping?"

    "yeah, thats better,"

When I was in the service, I did some repelling, that was fun. icon_smile.gif

    LOL...

my little sister always wanted to go, so I took her back in '95 and we jumped (accelerated freefall at 14,000 feet -- if you're going to jump out of a plane, might as well do it all the way)...

we jumped with some guys in a tiny plane just outside Clemson University...well, it wasn't very high tech or sophisticated...they brought me a fire engine red jump suit that was about two sizes too big...looked like a flying Elvis draggin as Ronald McDonald in midair ...

they told me something about not hotdoggin within a couple of hundred feet of landing as it would make me accelerate...

after I nearly missed the power lines, I did a little hotdoggin (I mean, if you're going to look like a flying Elvis, might as well put on a show), and as I landed, I churned up enough cement on some abandoned airfield in rural South Carolina to pave a driveway...

both knees were damaged, I was bloody as a polecat in a 'coon's nest, but after my sister jumped with no problems and seeing her face, I'd do it again in a New York minute...
