Hey guys, my fraternity and I are starting up a fundraiser through athletics. Each member that wants to join has a goal of $1000. We're raising this money through sponsorships by participating in various events around the country, I'll be running on a team relay in the Flying Pig Marathon here in Cincy. The money raised goes to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). According to The ALS Association's web site, approximately 5,600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year. It is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death. That's why I'm becoming an Iron Phi. To do something bold about Lou Gehrig's disease.

This is a great way to get into shape while helping out thousands of Americans that have this disease. So I need your help. I have my $1000 goal and I'm asking you to be a part of this. Below is the link to my Iron Phi page, I ask that you make a donation of what you think is appropriate.

With you help we can raise the money for ALS. I thank you for your support.

hey guys, i was hoping this would have gotten a better response, and not a "this thread is already". I was just hoping you all could help me out and help raise some money for those with a neurological disease.
