I discovered these episodes on hulu.com here:

If you want to take yourself out of your personal life, this is some really intense drama going on, especially the gamma-rays in outer space! Lately, I've been watching an episode every night and about 35 minutes through I get really sleepy and fall asleep right after it's done. This is such a good show. Much more interesting than Glee (yes, I just had to go there).

I hate hulu. It never loads for me. That said, I wouldn't exactly want this as bedtime watching. I'd spend the rest of the night reading up on it.

yes yes yes yes yes! this show is awesome. it kind of blows your mind to think about things like black holes, supernovas, and all the theoretically possible things like worm holes and other universes. i wonder how many physicists are regular drug users...

That's what I though too but for some odd reason it's like mental masturbation for me where I watch it, worry too much about disaster and "what's out there", brain explodes ("gasms"), then I fall asleep instantly.

See, astrophysics can be exciting! (That's why I did my PhD in it). Some shows can be cheesy, but History Channel's "The Universe" is definitely great.

CAN be?!? You mean ALWAYS. Astrophysics is amazballs! Man what I would give to just talk about self-reliant robots that dig deep into icey moons orbiting Jupiter at a gay-bar.

Wow - now I can come out the closet as a bedtime 'History Channel Universe'-watcher. I had lost sight of the fact that it's never comfortable (and rarely accurate) to believe that you're in a minority of one. Thanks guys (and especially Jake Benson) for the step toward gay nerd pride !

Reading... do you mean those letters strung together to make long words?
    *Oye*
When I'm lucky there are limited numbers of those and they are accompanied by lots of pictures. You do this "reading thing" of your own volition? !?!

    *perplexed and confused look*

Been watching it the past week. Good series. I wish there were more emphasis on certain subjects though, like what exactly has prompted Venus to evolve differently from Earth despite speculated similar conditions, though that may be the limit of scientific knowledge. Thanks for the recommendation, Jake!
