What are the little things that make you smile? What pisses you off?

Interracial couples make me happy icon_biggrin.gif

Not washing your hands pisses me off to no extent! icon_evil.gif

The first warm morning after a cold spell or the first cool morning after a long hot summer always make me smile.

People that use the emegency lane to get by stuck traffic during traffic jams piss me off!

just having a good time and good laughs with close friends.

people who walk ridiculously slow down the middle of a narrow sidewalk and then look confused / annoyed when you say "excuse me" to get by their fat ass. it's like, move the fuck out of the way, hippo.

Having a great, unexpected nap feels great!

Having someone wake you up for no reason sucks

icon_smile.gif : Those very rare, random, earnest and heart-felt smiles that you get from a complete stranger in passing.

icon_evil.gif : Anyone in a grocery store that takes up a whole aisle with their cart on one side as they hold on to it with one hand, while looking at something on the other side (and being completely oblivious about it).

A toddler's laugh ALWAYS puts a smile on my face!

When caddiness is taken TOO far pisses me off!

Funny you mention toddler smiles. Normally I "don't like" babies, little kids etc and have to force myself around family to coo etc..

But this morning I was in Mcdonalds, and in not too happy a spirits, and there was a woman sitting about 3 booths down with a baby girl in a highchair. The little one kept looking over at me with the biggest grin and smile each time and I couldn't help but laugh and smile back at her.. I think that's a real first in my life.

There are so many things that make me smile but when 1972guy mentioned laughter, I immediately smiled.

I love laughter and if I or someone can evoke laughter, it's beauty for the soul for all.

When I misplace things. That pisses me off to no end!

Same as a1972guy, nothing makes me smile more reliably than children's laughter. On adults, it depends, but generally genuine laughter makes me feel good.

And there's one thing that can reliably piss me off too: using religion as an excuse for cruel or (to a lesser extent) illogical behavior.

Happy: The taste of chocolate ice cream

Pissed: Reading things like David Barstow's article in the New York Times about the new fringe groups in the 'patriot' movement. It doesn't piss me off for any ideological reasons, but mostly because of the fear and lack of education at the root of such things. People so often make little effort to understand the world in which they live. It's very sad and at times can piss me off.

One of the old horse traders who used to buy hay from our family farm was one of these militiamen/patriot/friends of liberty types. All he could talk about were his bunker, his guns, his fear of black helicopters, the evil of the Federal Reserve, etc. He blamed every problem he had or others had on someone else. Never took stake in the world really. Sad.

    Happy
Cute lads especially if they are smiling, have sparkly eyes or checking themselves out on the sly.
    Dogs especially puppies.
    Spending time with good friends.
Getting checked out by cute guys, either full on, or when a curious "straight" guy does it sneakly.

    Unhappy
bigots - reflects a horrible mix of low self esteem and stupidity rolled into one.
bullies - non concentual physical or psychological abuse.
bitchy people - that sneakly put others down.
body odour - soap dodgers especially in the gym or in a pool
dog abusers - the types that need gratuitous tazing.

How about the soccer moms who will hold up an aisle and carry on a conversation. When you look at them for the inconsiderate person they are, they look at you like you are crazy!!icon_evil.gif
