Let me start by saying this genre is not my forte. I enjoyed this. I like Fiona's voice and liked the sound of the band together... Sounds like mature writing and ideas and a nice clean mix.

I would like to hear some of your other colaborations to be able to give you my two cents overall. The melody seems a little repetitive which kinda fits the mood and track here - but would be interested to see the range you guys can bring to the table. Didn't get a strong sense of a 'hook' here which again fits the style so can't use it as a weakness.

Would fit a soundtrack - For some reason the movie 'Once' comes to mind.

PS - what a great space to play in!

    I love it.

It kind of reminds me of "The Moon Seven Times," which is one of my favorite bands.

I just added the facebook page

That song was awesome I love the sound and gentleness of her voice in the beginning and the build up to the emotion she displays in the end the sound of the band and the chords of the song reminded me somewhat of coldplay but was unique and still your own which i think was awesome i'm already a big fan

I love the talent you guys are bringing to the table. The lead vocalist is great, but I think what would be more interesting and surprising would be her melancholy voice singing something a little bit more upbeat. I did enjoy the song, but I grew bored with it after a while. Something with a bit more edge would be nice. Not sure if you'r trying to appeal to consumers or just do your own thing. If you haven't already, listen to Florence and the Machine-- good example of adding some energy and "oomph" while staying true to artistic roots.

I'm a muso, a bass player to be exact, so please take my words as advice instead of criticism.

The song, the way you are playing it, and the way you're singer is approaching it, sounds like a not so discreet rip off of the Three-Non-Blondes "What;s Going On".

Don't get me wrong, that girl can sing, she has a very expressive voice.
It is sounding like a band that might get somewhere.

    love cronks

    Wasn't it "Four Non-Blondes"?

Anyways, I caught that sound too, but I think it was more of a similarity in voice, the song didn't sound similar to me at all

Yes. It was the 4 Non-Blondes (lead by Linda Perry who is now a producer/songwriter for the likes of P!nk and Christina Aguilera).

And... I was totally getting The Be Good Tanyas vibe. Not a 4 Non-Blondes vibe.

HAHA we've had that comparison before.. I can hear it, but intentionally trying to avoid that sorta genre, not looking for a one hit wonder here :-p. as for upbeat tracks on our sites we have a track called 'Rory' that might appeal to you more, thanks for the feed back guys icon_biggrin.gif
