I by no means would stand up for FOCUS ON THE FAMILY...I grew up in Colorado Springs where they are headquartered and I loathe that bunch of hypocrites. However, just to be clear, the ad McGay posted is NOT the one FOTF had on the NCAA.com site. This is the one:

I don't find it particularly "homophobic" at all. It's more pro-life than anything.

actually, i think the ad sends a double message-it's confusing at best ... pro-life, pro family, gay or str8. It's a photo of a dad and his kid, not a typical FOTF family. He could be gay or straight. and who's to say what is meant by "do the right thing"... don't get me wrong i am in no way supporting FOTF--they are one messed up group of people

Almost seems like it could be for however the child turns out, the parent will still love him regardless.

It's a confusing ad used to get people to research Focus on the Family.

Same thing with the Super Bowl ad--not controversal, but a good ad to get people curious.

Focus on the Family wants people to swing onto their website where there real brain washing happens.

Whether or not this ad is homophobic, socially conservative, or anti-abortion... it doesn't really matter.

The ad is bait--bait used to lure in mindless sheep into the shepard's line of thinking (or lack thereof).

Ooopsidaisy. I didn't mean to imply that their little ad was homophobic. I was saying that FOTF is homophobic, and they are. The words I superimposed over their touching bit of bullshit could easily spill from the mouth of anyone in FOTF.
