Hey guys, I'm headed to Death Valley the last week in March.

I've never been there before and was looking for any recommendations on what to do/see.

I'm pretty excited and promise to post some cool pictures when I get back.

I'm taking my older brother and have been thinking about coming out to him while we're out there, but I'm not sure if it's the right time. If he takes it bad, he and I are stuck with each other for a whole week. Also, he lives at home right now and I'd hate for him to tell my parents before I do.

    Thanks for any help,

    -Jason

    Take plenty of water! icon_wink.gif

As for coming out. If you feel you must absolutely do it during this trip, I'd wait until 2 or 3 days until it's over so if he does take it bad, at least he won't leave you there. icon_cool.gif

Of course, he may take it well or say "Duh!" Then you'd have a special week together where you bonded. (One of those inane words we hear all to often today.)

Soak up the experience of being out in Nature and away from technology. This is something I think we all need from time to time. I certainly do...

As for coming out, sounds like a cool idea. Of course there is risk involved, but when isn't that true? Do it midway through maybe icon_smile.gif

Bring plenty of water. The air is so dry you'll dehydrate from just standing still. Also, bring layers of clothes. Like most deserts, it will be very hot during the day and extremely cold at night.
