The last time I bulked, eating the same number of calories daily, I tacked on too much fat. I'm about to begin an 8-week bulking cycle and I want to try a new approach.

Have any of you tried the Zig Zag approach to dieting while bulking? It's what I think I'm going to do this time around. The principle is that you eat an excess of calories on lifting days when your body is truly anabolic and demanding lots of calories. You eat just enough calories for maintenance on the other days and you gorge yourself one day a week.

Sounds pretty unconventional, but the principle is that you prevent your body from adapting to a higher number of calories and storing fat. I've heard pretty good things about it, but wondering whether any of you guys have tried this approach.
