What is good to eat and or drink before a workout. I find myself with no energy and exhausted half way through my workout.

I usually either have PPJ, Kix cereal, or a banana with a protein shake before i work out.

I get enough sugar in my system to workout for a good two hours.

I often have a small salmon, ham or chicken sandwich about an hour before, then a protein shake and a banana straight after (before even showering).

I work out in the morning and always have some light protein with coffee. I find the coffee gives me an extra boost when I start to lose energy.

Apparently this works with science, too, and can kill your appetite:

Eating before and immediately after a workout is the most important thing i learned recently. I eat some meat and fruit before and a whole meal meat complex carb after. I don't eat any process sugar (sports drinks)

What and how much to eat are contingent to your activity level, body weight, and training intensity.

You'll want to try 30 grams of complex carbs and about 40 grams of protein on the front side, with about 60 grams of complex carbs, 30 grams of simple carbs, and 40 grams of protein on the back side.
