If the men's restroom is full, will you use the women's?

For me, it depends on what kind of bathroom it is. If it's a single-person restroom, and the men's is occupied, I'll go in the women's.

However, if it's a big restroom with multiple stalls, I'll usually wait it out. Once or twice, I've been desperate enough to just say "fuck it" and go take one of the women's stalls.

Yup - and without hesitation. Makes up for all the times women have taken up stalls in the men's room during concerts and sporting events! icon_biggrin.gif

All then time! Totally depends on the venue though... Gay bars = no problem. Other places, it can present a problem with multiple stalls. If it's a single one, hell yeah I'll use it!

yes I had to do this at the Rutgers-Louisville football game a couple years back, The line was about 250 guys long, I would have pissed my pants, I had to go. The womens room was virtually empty, several of us bolted out of the mens line. I think by law they have equal facilities but it shouldnt be that way

Depends on the restroom. If a man tried that in a women's room in a US airport or shopping mall, he'd be arrested. Yet in those same places, I've had women enter and use the men's with me and other men standing there peeing. It's very common in sports stadiums, where women feel justified because many of these older places were built on a male-to-female attendance ratio that no longer holds true, and the women find themselves in long lines to use their restrooms, especially at non-sporting events like concerts.

At a gay place like Georgie's Alibi in Wilton Manors, FL, however, some guys ALWAYS use the ladies, whose door is left wide open, just like the men's. There aren't too many women ever in the place anyway.

At a lesbian nightclub in St. Paul, MN, there was no men's room, just a unisex, plus another for women only. The men simply had to use urinals alongside the sinks, no partitions, no privacy, with women all around. The lesbians seemed to want it that way, and the men went along with it. Either that, or piss in the parking lot.

So sometimes the lines get blurred, and it's OK to go unisex. But get it wrong, and you'll be facing a charge for public indecency. The man, that is, never the woman. icon_confused.gif

Haha, I would never try to go to a girl's room.

Although I did when I was a little kid by mom's orders. It was soooo much cleaner. Hmmmm, is that why I like guys now?

In fact, this is not logically feasible. If there is a line for the men's room, then there will be a three-hour waiting list for the women's room. This is why it is vitally important to keep them strictly segregated. Once women feel free to use the men's, we won't have any place left to go, except the back alley.

Even in newer stadiums and concert halls that have an equal amount of toilets for men and women, often there still seems to be a longer line for the women's restroom. I think that women have to use the bathroom more often than men and that they are in the stall for a longer period of time. I find that at most gay bars, men use the women's room. I kind of feel sorry for the women that have to attempt to squat just above and not touching the seat that has been splashed with the urine of a hundred men throughout the evening.

Yes and I have done it once at the airport in London. Had to catch a connecting flight and this guy wouldn't just come out.

Would depend on the situation. I've done it before when attending a gay men's weekend seminar and all the people using the restrooms at the time were men. I normally refrain from using it out of courtesy; I have no gendered qualms about the rooms themselves though.

Yup. Had to several times. Women's bathrooms are generally more well-equipped, whether you need a mirror, toilet paper or just a seat that hasn't been peed on...

    Actually....yes.

I read once that women take, on average, 22 seconds longer in the restroom than men do. I often recall this fact when staring at longer lines in the women's restroom. But I've run into a few situations where the men's line was inexplicably longer.

I decided to post this question when I used the women's restroom at Starbucks today. One of the baristas was cleaning the men's room, so I used the women's (it was a single toilet, indistinguishable from the men's save for the sign on the door). When I came out, the barista was coming out of the men's, and gave me a weird look and said "Oh...the men's would have been done in a few minutes."

I didn't have to pee a few minutes before that. I had to pee right then.

Hmm, not sure which is more disturbing. You using the women's bathroom or finding out that the barista is the one cleaning the toilets...
