The Piano Teacher Strikes a New Note......

I've had some odd things happen as a result of online conversation.
And here's a new one. At the urging of my bf, I finally got a "facebook" profile established.. and of course the usual burst of friends who want to
    "add you" as a friend.

And then there was a name I remember from when I was about 8 or 9 years old. He was the music teacher at the high school when I was a little kid, probably no more than 3rd or 4th grade. He departed before I ever came near high school, but I did have him as a piano teacher prior to his departure.
My older brother used to make disparaging comments which I mostly ignored and a female friend of mine, even now, speaks glowingly of the guy. I really had no opinion, he was an adult who taught me piano lessons.

So up he pops and to my surprise requests me to be his friend. He starts in with all these complimentary remarks about my pics which I thought strange. Come to find out he didn't remember me as a former student
and when I asked him about his wife and two grown daughters, seemed
a little surpised I knew it. After asking some questions from another local gay friend (who also had this guy as a Facebook "friend", he was described as a male "fag hag" who seems to be in awe of gay guys. During my last conversation with this instructor, I told him " I have a bf and I don't plan on screwing former teachers". That set him back a bit but still would like to be my "friend".

So do you have any straight male "fag hags" or is this all just a ruse?

i absolutely think there are guys out there who could be called male "fag hags," so to speak. mostly because i know some guys who, when they find out i'm gay, either start asking a bunch of questions because they're either curious or totally in awe of the fact that i'm gay, or they begin to take a new liking to me. not like in an "i'm interested in you" kind of way, but more like an "i'm interested about you" kind of way. and they love it. they want to hang with me because i'm gay. so yeah, i definitely think there's such a thing as male fag hags.

there are also some friends of mine who, whenever i bring up the fact i'm seeing someone, they get especially interested. more interested so than if someone else was talking about their straight significant other. but i don't think my friends who do that are necessarily male fag hags who just love being around gay people, but i think because they're my friends and new me when i was "straight," they just want to know more about me for who i am. also my relationship with my stud of a man is way more fucking interesting than their boring, stagnant relationships.

that teacher wouldn't qualify as a male fag hag right at the present. He'll have to become really close to you for that. Which you might not be that keen on. . lol.

I have a male fag hag, a retired art teacher who i'm sure is a closet mo.
His wife died 10 years ago, he's got 2 kids and 5 grand children , is kind of effeminate , but never came out and never will. He's comfy in his denial, and so is his family . Probably only his kids wouldn't care if he introduced them to a bf.
But he knows i'm gay of course and we have a lot of fun because a) he's funny, b) he's very cultured and c) he's an interesting mix bag of contradictions .
So i see him as a fag hag.

I hope you had good reason to suspect the guy was wanting to screw you, at all before saying that to him. My view on the subject is this..

There are definitely male fag hags. They're just not common enough to have a stereotype. Nothing wrong with befriending one... but if this guy has been/was planning on cheating on his wife by trying to sleep with you.. screw him anyway. That's just sad.

I've had a female fag hag for years, and when she got married, her husband became my male fag hag.
