100yrs ago I competed in this sport - so I am forever in love with it for a variety of reasons: the divers physiques are flawless, their technical excellence plus exquisite beauty and grace in flight.

What sports provides you with the same feeling?

    Enjoy!

Agreed. Stunning but unfortunately not a "sport". More like other artistry based on subjective judgement. Gymnastics and figure skating also belong in this category.
But wrestling! There is a sport. Intensity and hot bodies! But no subjective judgement.
Then there are "games" were more than 1 player makes up the oponent. But that's for another time.

Diving is one of the few sports that meld the world of sport dance and love of the human form all into one

    Well, "maybe" .... I turn 52 in a month . . . . my event was 3M Individual Springboard & 3M Synchro Springboard. The 10M was too damn high for me. icon_lol.gif

That said, I would have been weak in the knees w/ you coaching me! icon_wink.gif

PAJohn saidMy junior and senior years in college my roommates were one guy on the gymnastics team, one guy on the diving team, one guy on the wrestling team and one guy on the swim team (me). We were all gay and our place was gay sex central. Anytime two or more guys were home they were likely having sex. From early in the morning until late at night someone was getting blown or screwed, If everybody was home there was likely an orgy going on. Our diving team roommate was extremely limber and he liked to come up with all kinds of crazy sex positions. Fond memories!

I assume you did lots of tramp work when you practiced I am back at it if you look at my vids. It great fun to jump on a tramp.

It seems like PAJohn and I had the same experience just a decade apart icon_redface.gif

I'm a former gymnast, current trampolinist.

I will always love the bodies of both people. Somehow I didn't draw the lucky card, and i just stay thin instead of jacked like some of my teammates.

But the bodies on some of them.... yummmmy icon_razz.gif

Loved the trampoline tho tumbling was my gig (before I sprouted up 6 inches in one year...ugh)!

Being a part of the diving community was truly a joy.

I loved to do both trampoline and tumbling. But I have to say I really loved to coach. The make up of the diving boards changed so much and so dramatically that your growth wasn't as much as a problem had you started in 63 and finished in 72.

I really loved the Olympic trails during those years it was a very fun time and loved the guys!

BTW.....where I take trampoline class is through a Trapeze school and they have a tumbling class. They have adults doing that so feel free to pick it up again.

I hope to dive in the Gay Games this summer and then when that is over start tumbling there and maybe the trapeze.

So I am encouraging to go back and pick it up..... you will surprise your self in a good way

I coach trampoline so I get a lot of divers and skiers comming in.

Gotta say, both sports do wonders to your body.

The abs and legs on the hardcore skiers and skijumpers? Damn!
