I just deleted my MANHUNT account and I feel so much better! Does anyone else feel the weight of future disappointment lifted when they delete an online profile?

I signed up for a manhunt account one time, and deleted it about 20 minutes later when I realized what the site was really all about. Hasty generalization, I am sure, as there are a lot of great guys on there, but it just felt creepy to me.

And where are you going next?

I am there and I'm looking for (preferably) a LTR. I've met friends there who go to recitals with me and others I can talk about video games all day. If I drop dating websites and bars, the chances of a geek guy like me finding someone are over.

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous to pay someone else to hook-up with another someone else.

lol really? I thought Lent was supposed to be about giving up what was going to make you better spiritually?.... Well I know it is because I was raised Catholic. But I guess giving that up is helping you out in the long run... maybe...

I no longer use any pay sites. Gave them up years ago! And I have just as much success on the free sites as I did on the ones I paid for. icon_rolleyes.gif

"the weight of future disappointment" - were you on Manhunt for sex, or were you looking for a relationship there?

I think the "feeling" of Manhunt totally changes depending on what city or country you're in.

I had an account there and wasn't too impressed by "the offerings" on that site. Most of the guys in my area were either out-of-shape and pretty sad, while others from out-of-town expected you to just drop everything and head to their hoe-tel. I guess I'm too selective -- there's only so much attraction I can have only to a lone image of a cock shot. If that piece of manhood isn't connected to someone eye-popping and handsome, quite honestly, I'm not gonna be hooking-up that easily!

Sure enough, I happily canceled my account, and truly doubt I will ever be returning to Manhunt.

I met the guy i'm currently dating on MH... lol. 4+ months now. We didnt get naked for weeks, either. Like any other site, its what you make of it. RJ can be dirty too if you really work hard at it. MH is angled towards sex but you can find people who want to date and meet people for coffee...etc...

    Do as you please, folks.

I second that notion - but have decided not to "renew" this time. Though I've actually met some nice/hot guys through it. What works well for some may not be so for others. No reason for hatin' icon_twisted.gif
