Just wondering, if you could pick any one game show to be on (past or present) what would it be and why?

I would hands down pick the Price is Right. Although it would be a long way to travel from Buffalo, I think it would be worth it, and I'm pretty sure I could get on stage. My only fear is that I get all the way there, and win a living-room set.

i don't know if you have it in USA but i'd be on sale of the century. kinda like jeopardy without the contestants picking the categories. i always seem to guess random questions right and it's always hilarious to see someone that not so academic take on professors with no humor, but i have no chance of winning anything, i just wanna check out the male prize presenters icon_lol.gif

The Match Game. Charles and Brett were my favorites.

The Match Game...one of the reasons why I wish I grew up in the 70s and 80s.

Probably "What's My Line?," which epitomized the golden age of game shows when appearing on most in any capacity was a sign of class. Just to try and match wits with such New York high society swells as Dorothy Kilgallen, Arlene Francis and Kitty Carlisle Hart. (How gay does that make me?) Closest I ever got? My internist is Kitty Carlisle's daughter, Kathy Hart! I once told her that her mom amazed me because I saw her one day at ninetysomething, probably waiting for Kathy, sitting pertly on a bench outside New York Presbyterian, reading a book in hundred degree heat in a black Chanel suit with every black hair laquered into place and nary a bead of sweat running down her nose. My second choice? "You Bet Your Life" because it was hosted by Groucho Marx!

Here's a "What's My Line?" segment where the saavy guests are trying to determine the occupation of an old gent named Colonel Sanders, who had a growing francise which at the time had 900 outlets:

I remember one of the funniest Jeopardy clues uttered by Alex Trebek was in the category of Nursery Stories or Folk Tales or some such. What makes this scene hilarious is the juxtaposition of the clue's absurd image with Alex's perfectly enunciated, stentorian delivery. Imagine Alex proclaiming, in all seriousness:

"Runaway breakfast food that rolled its way to safety before agreeing to rest on the snout of a pig."
