One of my biggest is when someone posts a profile stating they're looking for friends but then don't respond to your email supposedly because they don't like the way you look. I say "supposedly" because I don't know that for sure but why else would they not respond. He's filled his quota on friends?

I hate "laid back" or "chilled" etc. in a profile. It is a super turn off to me. It is so effing trite. And I doubt these guys are any more laid back than anybody else if you push their buttons. ... icon_rolleyes.gif

LOL. The most uptight guy I've ever met in my life wrote that he was "laid back" in his profile.

For some strange reason, people seem to portray themselves as opposite of what they really are in online profiles a lot of the time.

Normally, I never would have admitted this, but M4M's message melted my frozen heart, so I have to. Guys, this is the real me...

I love watching and instigating the drama of others; it's kind of like watching the O.C. or Gossip Girl but in Real and with people you know. icon_razz.gif

Oh man, I have gotten some nasty emails from blokes on this site. they don't even say hi first or try to get to know me. they send me emails telling me that i'm gona be fat one day and that age will catch up to me and that age is unavoidable.

It really hurts to know that some people out there will say to others.

I hate when people send me a message, I respond to it and then they never reply back. What's the point of them taking time to initially send me a message if they don't reply back?

    People are assholes.

Cause people are very insecure about themselves so what they do is try and make other people feel like crap to try and make them feel better.

I've found that as somewhat of a general rule, but not always true that guys try to project a version of themselves that they want to be, not their true self. So I usually read between the lines and 95% of the time i'm dead on.

Ok, so I'm seriously tempted to put "laid back" in my profile because I've been told over and over that is how I come across. I just recently met someone from this site a couple of weeks ago and he said I was "laid back". I guess "laid back" sounds better than "boring". But I also know "laid back" is a pet peeve statement.

    Ugh I know right?

As far as the OP's qualm, communication either happens or it doesn't. Sounds stupidly simple but it is. If either party in a dyad loses interest or has no interest, communication will cease or will never begin. Take it for what it is.
