Multi-generational Households

    49 million Americans live in extended family households.

    I saw this when they mentioned it on the news with Katie Couric. Is your family one of them?

    Personally, I think that it is a great idea. It helps with expenses, and it allows families to stay close.

    Mine isn't but the president's family is. The sole reason why First Lady Michelle Obama mother is in Washington living at the White House is because she takes care of the girls. It's great.

    My parents have always shared their home with others in the family; currently, it's my cousin and her family. It works out well.

    These types of homes are going to be an imperative eventually. It's one of the few ways we can deal with aging populations.

    Well some people hate their grand parents, and vice versa. It is just unfortunately for those people, a solution that doesn't rely heavily on the kindness of strangers in group homes.
