These tea baggers are obviously nothing more than a bunch of ignorant, primitive minded, bigoted assholes that really want a so-called white Christian nation that is permanently rid of all racial minorities, gays/lesbians, Jews, Arabs, and all other non-christian, non-WASP groups of people.

It shows their total lack of comprehension of the issues and how they are all just wrapped up in slogans and mindless rhectoric.

if you're looking for a handout, you are in the wrong end of town

    no more handouts

I liked Chris Matthews comments on this about how all the protestors look like they are in good health.

The Teabaggers are a manufactured group, with Republican right-wingers pulling the strings for their own political gain, aided by right-wing media motivated by their own ratings agenda. Don't you remember FOX News personalities actively promoting their early events?

This is no more a spontaneous people's movement than ordinary political party rallies. Only the ignorant, as described by roadbikeRob and Caslon130000000 (OK, I added a few zeroes), could sign onto this charade.

    So true, RedVespa.
And, judging by the tepid opposition from the teabaggers this week against the HCR bill, when it's getting so close to the finish line, it seems like the tea party "movement" has really lost steam.
I'm guessing that it's because the Republican party and it's propaganda outlets (like Fox) have gotten nervous about splitting the conservative voting block in an election year, and are no longer aiding and abetting the teabaggers the way they did last year.

They were manufactured ... you are right Red
When Obama sent out his people and told Congressional leaders to hold those town hall meetings They were stacked with people from all the republican wingnut nooks and crannies
They had scripts written up and were told not to let the speaker speak
.... But this gave license to all the nutcases and bigots out there who were afraid to speak because THEY KNEW how crazy they sounded
But now because the media never showed or told these people how crazy they really were
When you hold up a sign saying Don't Let Gov't Get a Hold of my Medicare
there's somethin wrong with this picture
It's time to call a Spade a Spade ... and a Bloomin Idiot a Bloomin Idiot

    Not quite.

Southbeach1500 = Not a liberal / Democrat / socialist drone like most of the rest of you on here.

The definition doesn't preclude you from having made a Strawman argument.

Never have I been so ashamed to be an Ohioan......This happened outside of the Ohio offices of MY US Representative...Mary Jo Kilroy.....@ 1299 Olentangy River Rd, ste. 200, Columbus, OH 43212..... Her district was gerrymandered in the last federal redistricting after the 2000 Census. The Republicans never thought a Democrat would win the district after they "fixed" the district. She won by a very slim majority after 2 recounts and is facing the very same opponent again, this fall.
The man in the video is actually is a former nuclear engineer with a doctorate from Cornell University.......what an appalling display of pretentious arrogance from the guy tossing money at him....I hope his wife and kids and family and employer all get a good look at him.....He is most likely from one of three REALLY WEALTHY suburbs...Dublin, Powell or Upper Arlington.... really bad manors!.....

Here is the story as reported in the Friday 3-19-2010, Columbus Dispatch.

Mary Jo Kilroy announced today that she'll be voting FOR HCR.
So, clearly, she is a very brave woman, given the fact that there are obviously a lot of crazy ass teabaggers in her district..

And Republicans AND Democrats are both guilty.

I've commented on this Republican trick of yours before. When a Republican gets caught doing something unacceptable, if not downright illegal, the fallback position is always: "But they ALL do it, both parties!"

What a clever tactic! Smear your opponent with your own crimes & offenses. Reminds me of immature children, when caught with their hands in the cookie jar. "Tommy stole some cookies the other day!" as a means of exoneration, and shifting blame. What a cowardly & wimpy tactic.

It is certainly true that bad guys exist in both US political parties, but nothing matches what we have seen with the Republicans in recent years. Whether corrupt personal ethics, or outright bribery and corruption, the scale weighs more heavily against the Republicans.

It's a pure smokescreen to say "One of your guys was a scoundrel, so our entire party of scoundrels gets a pass, and can't be criticized." Each person should be judged on their own merits, and shortcomings, not on diversions and evasions, the stock-in-trade of Republicans.

    I agree Red ....
and the media has been SO complicit in playing this game

The republicans get away with absolute murder this way
    case in point
Congressional ethics violations and downright criminal behavior
We've had a regular conga line of republican congressmen and senators be looked into - Senator Ensign, indicted - Tom DeLay and even jailed - Cunningham
The vast majority of Abramhoff money went to republicans
but what do republicans and the majority of the media say?
    They ALL do it too
But that's not correct they ALL don't do it
Yes there are democrats who violate laws and ethics and I say boot their ass
but it isn't endemic like it is with the present set of republicans

Red Vespa, FYI I would never in my right mind ever sign onto joining these tea baggers because they are nothing more than a bunch of glorified racists, homophobes, and right wing war mongers. You need to check yourself before making accusations about me. Just because I am independent minded and don't strictly tow to any political party ideology does not make me a hateful right winger.

Normally, I would say that's fair, but you've said so many awful things on here, it's understandable why Red would think you were a right-wing tool.

Christian73, I have not said anything awful, where do you come across with such baseless bullshit about me. Why because I am independent and not a blind sycophant so that makes me an ignorant right winger? Man you definitely need to check yourself before criticizing me. It is one thing to disagree but it is another thing to blast me endlessly for expressing how I feel on major issues. You definitely need to get out of NYC and move into the real world.

I think your endless bashing of feminine guys right here on RJ is enough to support my assertion. And I never said you were a "ignorant right winger" so don't put words in my mouth.
