    Jealousy.

You feel yourself start to sweat,
ur throat is so dry, not wet,

the feeling pulses through your veins,
it showers you completely, like the heavy pelt of rains,

you start to lose control,of your wits, of your mind,
logic doesnt come into play, its something you cannot find,

the feeling holds you firmly in its grip,
its tortures you like the crack of a whip,

you can almost touch the feeling, its so real,
you feel angry and sick, but of it you dont want to heal,

people will be hurt and trampled on in its wake,
while not moving at all,its as strong as an earthquake,

you see it clearly in your mind, through the transparency,
    what your are feeling is.....Jealousy.

I dont feel jealousy towards people REALLYicon_exclaim.gif
If someone has accomplished something amazing or is wearing something TO DIE FOR, i'm the kind of person who'll give them props.... Dont see why people lower themselves to feel jealousy toward anyone...
    Your blessings are Your blessings......Period...........
However, i'v felt the sting of jealousy from others for the stupidist reasons, i'v had people dislike me for where i live to the way i talk, i'v even had someone dislike me for being POLITE,,icon_eek.gif yup thats right....He'd say,,'' oh here comes the polite one'':.
If i was mean and a jerk i guess that would make it easier for him to categorize me...I must be really fucking with his head..but it's all goodicon_exclaim.gif

I'm jealous that I didn't know what stanza meant until after you'd said it and forced me to go google the meaning of the word

You're Australian, dear. Your vocabulary is only supposed to go from Aussie to Barbee (...however you spell that in Australian icon_confused.gif ). Everyone understands.

Calibro, that's not nice of you to say.

    That's not poetry.

Hell those couplets barely amount to stanzas altogether icon_wink.gif

    After using a comma (","), try adding a space (" ").

I remember sharing dinner with a group of guys on a big gay cruise. One guy at the table -- not the sveltest of the bunch -- asked me how I had lost all the weight. I told him about all the changes I had made: waking up at 5am to run 7 miles, hitting the weights hard, cleaning up my diet.

His response was that I was "lucky" and that he was "jealous".

And then he proceeded to eat his chocolate cake with whipped cream and ice cream.

To this day, I don't understand his use of either word. I'm not sure how running at 5am, hitting the weights hard, and cleaning up my diet makes me "lucky". And I'm not sure what he was "jealous" of. If he wanted, he could make all the same changes and get all the same results. (Assuming there were no health issues of which I'm unaware.) But he preferred to eat his chocolate cake.

I can understand being jealous of someone who wins the lottery. But I don't understand the kind of jealousy the guy at my table was feeling. If he really wanted what he claimed he wanted, why didn't he just go for it?

Because he preferred to eat his chocolate cake.

Just be forewarned: to get the full, unexpurgated story, a complete in-depth examination might prove necessary.

Yes, anything in the name of science. I might even blind you with it. (For you young 'uns who don't get that, google "Thomas Dolby".)

But getting back to my original point: why would someone be "jealous" of something he has complete control over? I don't understand that. When I was fat, I wasn't jealous of people who weren't. I knew I was making the choices that were keeping me fat.

And that's what they were: choices.

Well I would love to go to Aruba. Actually I don't do too bad over the winter. In California for all of February every year and Florida for a couple weeks in March, but January is a bitch.
