I just recently had the opportunity to see the movie Precious and I must say Monique was so deserving of that Oscar. Her portrayal of an abusive mother made me cringe. For those of you who have not seen the film, you should definitely check it out.

It was impressive .. she made me hate her character as much as I hated that bitch in "Misery" .. I was hoping someone would put a stake in her heart by the end.

And to be honest I never took her seriously as an actress until I saw this movie. I always saw her as the loud, obnoxious Nicky Parker from her now defunct sitcom "The Parkers"

I can't say I didn't like it, but I LOVED Anna Kendrick's performance in Up in the Air.

Awe man, that was one of the hardest movies I ever watched. The book was just as hard to read. She was nothing short of steller, especially given the fact that she went through sexual and physical abuse. While the character deserved a death sentence, she surely deserved the Oscar. Well done!
