Do you only cry in front of family/close friends? Or do you hold it in and cry alone? What makes you cry?

    I'll cry whenever I'm inclined.

It's a natural emotion, so many people need to lose the hangup about crying.

What's worse is being so sad the cathartic tears no longer flow.

I cry when I have to....I'm comfortable enough with the ppl in my life that i don't mind crying in front of them. Not many things make me cry though so when i do cry, ppl know its something BIG!!!!

I cry at strange times....sometimes for big things, sometimes not so big.

Deaths, sad movies, the strap of a favorite flip flop breaking....

    Tears will flow.

I went for years without crying...thanks to anti-depressants. I wish I could have those years back. Sadness, joy, beauty; it is part of being human and fully alive. Don't deprive yourself of feeling. It is not manly.

Men, gay and straight, are so uptight about crying. Just cry already! There's nothing wrong with shedding a few tears.

I cry pretty easily, especially when watching movies that I get kind of wrapped up in. When the big tree fell down in Avatar? That's right, I welled up a bit. It was sad, people!

I cry only once I'm alone. I feel helpless and needy if others see me cry, I like to do it when I'm alone so I can get through what ever the issue is on my own. If its something sudden or really really serious, I'd call only a really really close friend and while I'm talking it will come out.

I never cry but I love to, so every now and again I induce it by watching sappy movies. But so far Oprah has made me cry twice (damn Africa specials), Life as a House too, surprisingly Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (what the?) and bawled my eyes out in Whale Rider.
Recently, Mao's Last Dancer did the trick. I'm unfortunately so laid back that any emotion besides content is good.

I hardly ever cry, and when I do, it's always by myself. I don't want to drag anyone else down.

Receiving bad news, funerals, and Steel Magnolias are usually what get to me.

Something has to effect me personally to get me to cry. If someone tells me a sad story, I won't cry if I don't have a connection to it.

The last time I cried was when watching Marley and Me, bawled my eyes out to that movie...then my mom came home lol

A movie, a song, a past memory will make me cry. Oddly I don't cry about the many tragedies I have had in my life..........everyone has those and I am glad I survived them. I do cry alone when I can let it out.

I cry when watching Extreme Home make over and sometimes when people yell out, I am debt free on Dave Ramsey! Whoops! Did I just pigeon hole myself? I cry easily to songs, movies, it helps release emotions that lets me know I am still in tune with life.

Cried while hubby and I were watching Frequency last night. Big, thick tears ran down my cheek. Just a couple of them.

    I cry when:
    1. Someone close to me hurts me..
    2. I empathize with another's sorrow, put myself in their place and feel what they are going through
    3. when i read something inspirational like MLK's speech, or gandhiji's work.. each highlight of human fortitude in the face of adversity makes me weep..
    4. when i realize that he does not like me as much as i like him..

I am not ashamed to cry.. but i usually reserve it for when i am alone...

In college I used to cry in the shower.....no evidence. If I was going to be miserable at least I was clean.

Little did I know how difficult life REALLY is.

I cry more often than I'd like. What can I say, life is tough and that is how I cope. Silly things get me all teary too.

I always cry alone. I'd die of embarrassment if someone saw me. When I lived with my parents, I'd cry in the shower too. That way, no one heard me and when I come out of the bathroom, no one could tell I had been crying.

Generally, I hold it in until I'm alone. Only when something serious (like my boyfriend of three years breaking up with me) can cause me to cry in front of people...its just sort of how I am.

I can get very involved in a story, if it is a compelling one. In a well-acted, well-written movie, TV show, or stage play/musical, at a particularly moving moment, I've been known to cry. The worst was years ago when I saw the show Les Miserables. That scene at the barricades? OMG. It was an incredible struggle to keep from just bawling my head off.

On the other hand, when it comes to REAL LIFE... I can't remember a time I've really cried since I was a kid. I'm sure the time will come, though.

Little Buddy, I cry whenever I feel like it.
