"The Republican National Committee spent tens of thousands of dollars last month on luxury jets, posh hotels and other high-flying expenses, according to new Federal Election Commission filings, including nearly $2,000 for "meals" at Voyeur West Hollywood, a lesbian-themed nightclub that features topless dancers in bondage outfits. ...

The committee had more than $22 million on hand when Steele arrived last year, but is down to under $10 million now despite raising $96 million during that time, records show."

The Republican party's wealthy donors have very expensive tastes.
Just the promise of more tax cuts isn't enough to keep the campaign contributions flowing into the RNC coffers.

When it comes to selling out, nobody does it like the Republican party.
Screw the "family values" slogan, they'll do anything to get money for the RNC.
Including paying almost $2,000.00 in RNC funds to help rich Repub donors get their FREAK on, in a bondage sex club.

If the Dems had got caught doing this, we'd be hearing about it from now 'til November on the Fox propaganda channel.

Actually, it is the wealthy donor that are complaining...

'Steele's spending habits have prompted angry complaints from wealthy GOP donors and party officials, who fear the chairman is making poor financial decisions and undercutting the GOP's attempt to cast itself as the party of fiscal responsibility."

    ...some fiscal responsibility! ... icon_rolleyes.gif

Obama's first year annual deficit: Approx $1.4 Trillion.Bush (not exactly a fiscal conservative) worst year: Approx 480 Billion.

    Enough said.

if you're going to make a point, at least make sure your logic and facts are correct. First, Obama inherited the majority of the debt from Bush and had to spend serious bucks to keep the economy from tanking. Second, Bush spent way more than 480 billion. Here's a graph (and it's not even including the last two years).

Re: your comparison of the Obama and Bush yearly deficits.
    "Enough said", indeed.
About how bad the Bush recession that Obama inherited was.

The deficit for Obama's first year was NECESSARY spending to stimulate the economy and pull it out of the worst recession since the Great Depression.
A recession brought on by 8 years of failed and irresponsible Bush/Republican economic policies.

    Annual = Yearly.

He did not inherit the 2009 annual deficit or did he inherit the approx 800 BILLION stimulus, cash of clunkers that cost BILLIONS,Insurance,Auto and Bank bailouts, The Making Home Affordable program that cost tens of BILLIONS (and complete failure along with cash for clunkers that cost taxpayers $24k/car per Edmonds). There are other things too but is there really a point anymore.........................$1.4 TRILLION ANNUAL DEFICIT.

He is the trillion dollar president.

Dude, you're not getting it. You have to spend money to fix the mess that Bush left. The biggest thing the debt is spent on is not cash for clunkers, but two wars both started under Bush.

Again, do you really want to go here? BO said unemployment will not go over 8% with the stimulus. Where does the unemployment sit? 9.7% and it went to 10.2% a few months ago.

If you're going to spend money you absolutely must have the money targeted in the right areas. A ton of the stimulus money has yet to be spent and the money spent mostly went to pet projects and useless business endeavors. BO promised 8.0% unemployment and right now we stand at 9.7%. He promised it would NEVER go a bove 8.0%

Again, irrelevant. Yes, the annual deficit is important, but the greater indicator is the national debt because we don't pay off the annual deficit, but the debt
