So...my boyfriend's dad and mom are extremely active, but his brother and sister, well, not so much. We were at my bf's dad's birthday get together tonight, and my bf's sister asked me to design a circuit plan for her.
I'm a little unsure of what I came up with for her on the fly, so I figured I would put it forth into the cosmos known as RJ.
Lemme know what you think of this for a general circuit for a relatively fit (id est moderately inactive 27 year old) female (btw all weighted exercises are done with 3 sets to failure):

    1. Wall/ski squat (I figured 30 seconds to start, while working towards 2 minutes)
    2. Oblique side bridges
    3. Sliding leg curls
    4. Military Press
    5. Calf raises
    6. Standing lunges
    7.Bicep curls
    8. Shoulder Shrugs
    9. Superman's
    10. Triceps kickbacks
    11. Crunches
    12. Push-ups
    13. Front raises
    14. Walking/Jogging/Jumping rope in place
    15. Mountain Climbers
    16. Lateral raises

Do you think any of the muscle groups are too close together or that they are skipping anything? I want to keep it simple for a beginner and also make her feel accomplished towards the end (hence the cardio/deltoid combo in the tail end).

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I guess you'd need to know what the point of the routine was. to burn fat? to build muscle? increase endurance level?

each of those goals would be best served by a different routine.

She was really vague about that. That's why I was going for a generalized circuit that would get her back into the swing of things... sorta laying down the foundation. She of course like most women wants to lose fat, but I think she needs to work on her endurance as well (and her mom agreed with me on that).
