You know, for a site where I expect most people to be politically correct and ought to know the value of respecting the beliefs and stances and opinions of other people and groups there certainly are some bigots spreading their bitterness on here.

If you want to let off steam about something then go to a site that is conducive for that kinda thing. I am not going to start a forum here about saying how much I hate the ANC government and how corrupt they are and b***h about it. I'll go to some right wing Facebook page for that.

Im not saying don't have an opinion or express yourself and dont post anything but jeez do it with a bit more finesse, please.

Treat new information as a prospect to weigh and consider before passing judgment and rejecting it.

That's what I generally go by. When I see two people arguing sides or showing a blatant dislike of someone else I just go to another thread. It's really not that hard to be pleasant on realjock. lol

To be honest I'm not sure how I feel. When I joined this site it was to seek solace to be apart of something similar to myself. After almost a yr what I realize is what is most similar is often most different. I ask of no one to mask in political correctness. Represent you as it will create a much better understanding of you and dialogue. There are some that speak openly and those that speak w/ the vengeance of their last breath. A forum is conductive if everyone is free to express themselves whether I like it or not. After all what you might think is bigotry might be his American wayicon_eek.gif

Yeah.. that sort of behavior is on every forum, anywhere. The simple cause is that no matter what race, religion, or sex.. people in general are assholes.

This guy right here got mega respect points from me when he simply read a post I made in a religion thread and asked me a very pointed, yet thoughtful question. Since the question was specific to me, I took it out of thread and emailed him. He did not bash me for my beliefs. He simply asked me to explain for his understanding. While we are really polar opposites on that issue, we had a bit of a conversation and not once did either of us attack the other person.

While we all are entitled to our own opinion, that flies out the window when it becomes or is made personal in that it becomes about the messenger and no longer the message. That is the essential difference between debaters and haters.

I couldn't agree more. I for one love a good debate, particularly on political issues. Attack my arguments/viewpoints...fine. But attack me as a person because of them...not cool.

    Hi InX icon_wink.gif

On here you have (1) normal trolls (2) cleverer trolls (like Pattison) (3) guys who are internally conflicted from a religious or conservative background in the USA and are either (a) still conforming to it with confusion or (b) overreacting against it (4) internet warriors who suddenly become aggressive and dumb even though in the real world they are normal and (5) others. some of whom are normal.

    Help explain things?

I find that from the arrogant fit guys too. This is a site for whoever wants to be a part of it. Who made the rules?

Eh, here's how I look at it: Learning to deal with the huge number of asshats posting in these forums and e-hatemailing me has helped me to deal with/ignore them in real life. And it makes me appreciate the cool guys a lot more.

Scally , this is how Realjock is marketed on the internet:

"A community for gay men featuring chat, forums, dating, and personals. 100% FREE. Meet gay men near you."

You'd need to speak with admin about changing that. icon_wink.gif

" I'll go to some right wing Facebook page for that."

Your post is complete hypocrisy. You're doing exactly what you're complaining about. So i guess its okay to bash the right and not the left?

My view is America is about freedom of speech and say what you feel. This is NOT China.
