    and their timeless songs:

    -Only Wanna Be With You
    -Hold My Hand
    -Time
    -Let Her Cry
    -I Go Blind
    -Tucker's Town
    -I Will Wait

They seem like a soundtrack of a lifetime. Any one else here a fan of theirs?

They were great at the time, but I never pull out their CD and revisit.

Ya know, Darius Rucker is now a country music star.

I never liked them. The singer only sang one note in every song. And not in a cool way like Morrissey.

Pretty similar to what I was going to say...

I liked them before I developed my musical taste...

I remember them before they hit it big and they played the local college circuit. Nothing beat nickel beer night and being thisclose to HATBF back in the day.

I liked some of their songs, until I heard them play like a thousand times. I don't think I would want to listen to their music again. I'm afraid that is going to happen to Lady Gaga's music.

I love Darius Rucker's voice however. He has the country music, and he did some Christmas music which I really enjoyed.

Remember them very fondly. They gave a great concert in Hong Kong in 1997.

Yes, I love Hootie and the Blowfish. I remember listening to them during summer mornings while we built the deck in our backyard. Good memories. What a long time ago! I rekindled my love of that first album "Cracked Rear View" my freshman year of college and probably annoyed my roommate :

I always like them. I actually got to meet Darius Rucker ( at a meet and greet) in January at a work event before he gave a concert. He was incredibly gracious and nice, and I might add, pretty good looking too.

Concert was good, he did mostly his country stuff, but he also did the Hootie hits too.

Timeless? Eh, probably not. Fun, definitely!

favorite songs are Hold My Hand and Let Her Cry. The problem is by the time the first cd was finished with the singles the band had been so overplayed and overexposed bascially setting up expectations that were not going to be met for the next release which was solid but didnt have as strong singles.

America likes to build you up and then tear you down and ignore you.

Remember bands like the Hooters, Spin Doctors, Blues Traveler, they were each white hot for a while but then for the next release it was sayonara charlie
