macronutrient breakdown

    What's yours at? I've heard lots of combinations: 50% carbs, 25 % each fat and protein, I've heard 70-15-15, 40-30-30, and so forth. What's your idea of optimal?

    Optimal for me is 10-20% carbs, 25-30% protein, and fat making up the rest.

    I shoot for 50/25/25 (carbs, protein, and fat, respectively) but my diet is more maintenance than goal oriented. I used to do the 30/20 split with protein and fat until I read several studies showing that slightly increased dietary fat resulted in decreased body fat. So far it has worked for me.
