Curious about the dog-lovers. That, and i'm pissed off, and what better way to makes things better than a little dose of man's best friend?

    My favorites:

What's not to love about that?

    Love my dog too!
Her name is "Raggedy Ann", "RAGS" for short. She is laying at my feet right now as I surf the web. She is my constant companion and friend and protector when she senses danger that I may not be aware of right away, like when I posted several weeks ago about the Raccoon she saved me from

A bad picture of her is on my profile here...http://www.realjock.com/fullphoto/552820
She is 5.5 years old and is still "my puppy"! I can't be in a bad mood for very long around her, because she is truly just so happy to be around me all the time...I am ALWAYS greeted with great excitement when I get home from work or the gym or the store or even mowing the lawn.....She's GREAT!icon_biggrin.gif

Dogs are awesome. I grew up with dogs and find them to be the best animal companions without peer.

I love dogs, but I cannot have any in my condo. Too be fair though, I am not at home enough to properly take care of one anyways. I love beagles as the many guys here who have them can attest. icon_biggrin.gif

I've got two cats . . . . But have owned an English Bulldog in the past. The best dog (dawg, since I'm so close to Georgia, USA) ever. He was an 85lbs lap dog.

My next dog will be a French Bulldog. A slightly smaller version of an English, but has just as much personality.

Ok, maybe it's because I have a lousy spring cold....but the heading made me think it was a question about fans for dogs....so the dog won't get hot.....and that all dogs love the wind in their face.....like this:

I don't think I have laughed so hard in a looooong time!!! icon_lol.gif
    This pic is brilliant!!!

Dogs, for me, have been as much of a part of life as breathing.
We lost our two "kids" recently. But there are so many in need of loving homes that we have decided to adopt again this summer.

There is a quote that I have taken from a plaque at an animal shelter I volunteered at in my teens that has stuck with me ever since:

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

No finer words have been written. icon_cry.gif

    Cheers,
    Keith

Our Boykin Spaniel/Setter mix is the head of the pack. I may pretend to be Alpha, and he may humor me and let me think it, but he rules every decision we make.
We'd rather take a road trip with Cooper to Key West than ten days and nights in Paris without him. It's just not the same.
We have a saying : we feed him, walk him, play with him, rub his belly and buy him treats and toys. In exchange, he allows us to sleep in his bed.

I'm definitely a huge dog person. I had a german shepherd/husky mix when i was a kid, then a great dane (Rex), and now I have a retriever/lab/collie/bloodhound mix (Molly).

Honestly, I don't think I could be happy without a dog around. They're always happy to see you, the smallest amount of affection from you makes their day, and they always seem to know when you're having a rough day, and know how to make you feel better.

Unfortunately, all my pictures of Shadow are printed photos from an analog camera, and I don't have a scanner available to upload them.

I love dogs. And dogs love me
I wish I could get a dog, but I wouldn't be able to care for it the right way. I'm out a lot and travel a lot and
I'm a big sissy when it comes to picking up dog shit. I get nauseous and gag.

I am baffled by the existence of little, yippy lap dogs and men who would want to own one. A hot guy who owns a pomeranian? Deal breaker! The next dog I get is going to be a blue Great Dane. They are majestic and awesome.
