Just curious how many guys here go to a barber or a stylist in a salon, and how much you spend.

Me, I go to a barber every 2-3 weeks. $12 (tip included)

(Yes, this is a totally meaningless and boredom-inspired topic)

I go every 2 months to a stylist because I hate the chain haircut places around here...ends up being like...35-60$ depending on whether she colors or not.

I have an interesting plan where I go 12 times a year for a reduced cost. The appointments are made in advance... my March appt is already made. I end up paying about $12.00, but she does everything. I've never had my hair colored or tinted or whatever, but I supposed if I wanted it done it would be included.

I bought one of those hair buzzers. I give myself a buzz-cut every couple of weeks.

    My mommy cuts my hair!

Alright, my mom happens to be a stylist, so that's not quite as sad as it could have been.

My hair gets buzzed with a #2 every 6 weeks or so by a standard barber-cost about $10-or sometimes even my straight, married brother. Yes, he actually does a really good job at it, too! But way back in the day, when cars were just invented, (ok, 20 years ago) I used to go to a *gasp* stylist! Took about an hour, more or less. Usually ran around $30 in 1980s money. But back then, I was in a local rock-metal band and had beautiful, long hair....like most-the-way-down-to-my-ass long. lmao....I'm much better now though.

I go to a barber simply because they know how to cut my "type" of hair (black hair, lol).

I went to a stylist once, out of desperation, and I almost had a heart attack at the end result icon_eek.gif

I go to both, depending on who can fit me in when I have the notion of a haircut. Results are wildly variable. My cheapest haircut was 6euro and my most expensive was 380.

My mom cut my hair until I moved out of the house at 18. (she's not a stylist, but she's good) My hair grows funny on one side in the back. For the first couple years of college I went to the nearest salon and let a lovely older lady cut my hair, when they closed down, I started going to a different salon that was reccommended by a friend. Now when I need my hair cut I go to the barber that recently opened (last 3 years) he's good and he's cute but married and very straight. Typically I don't spend more than $12 and I won't ever go back to the place in the mall, I could have done the same with trimmers for free.

I go to a salon cause the guy who owns it wants to blow me and he gives me free hair cuts. One of these days he's gonna expect me to put out, afterwhich time I will go to a barber.

my girl is named NIKOL - and that's not a very barbershop-pish name... her incredible good looks, multiple piercings and pink/black/blonde hair aren't very barber-ish either. go figure. icon_eek.gif

I go to a stylist because my hair is to tricky for a barber to simple trim here and there like he would if I were going for a shorter hairstyle.

Barber; I'm poor what can I say? My Barber is the shit though -Sal's on Huntington Ave. They'll spend 45 min cutting your hair to perfection, even if there's a massive wait!

I prefer a good classicly trained barber, but they - good ones - are very difficult to find these days.

I usually end up unhappy with the results at overpriced salons.

I have never paid $12.00 for an adult hair cut in my entire adult gay life! 8-)

A friend cuts my hair and he works at a solon, and it's $30.00 a pop!icon_biggrin.gif

Crap I'm over-due for a hair cut now.

Used to go to a stylist, but now I do it myself. People have asked me to do theirs, but I can't...strangely, I can only cut my own hair, with lots of mirrors. Just like tying a tie.

I buzz my own with a #2 guard on top #1 on the bottom. It makes it nice because I can get my hair did and my manscapin' done at the same time.icon_biggrin.gif

I just sprinkle a few lice on my head once a month and I'm good.
