I recently bought the PC game, The Movies, and I highly enjoy its ease-of-use for a novice filmmaker, such as myself. Are there any other The Movies fans or players here on RJ?

I've just scratched the surface of the game and have not yet put in the effort for a full-on project (meaning script plus voice-acting). My best practice work thus far (from earlier today) is the following:

YouTube: My Ex Boyfriend (Part One)

Yes, I am aware of some of the flaws at this point (the music doesn't sync too well with the action, there is no intelligible dialogue, and it currently doesn't end as a story, only as a first act). I will consider how to end it some time this weekend, possibly writing some dialogue (if only through subtitles until I have "recruited" some voice actors).

Hmm, looks like that could be a lot of fun. I've never heard of it before this.

You can find basic info on The Movies (and its expansion pack, The Movies: Stunts & Effects) in their respective Wikis. The original game is a little over two years old and is close to bargain-price in the US ($20 at BestBuy).

Ok, you have to finish it because as of now I find no corillation between the interracial gay couple, the thug and the girl that got bit by the doberman and turns into a male werewolf!?!

I want this game but it will ruin my life for the next few months.

I like making movies. I have a drunk game with my friends:

Someone comes up with a subject, item, whatever. Then we all improv a complete story. No retakes, if you mess up you mess up, and the whole movie must be shot in sequence with no editing.

Here is the trailer for our latest one from Friday night(PS, trailers can be edited since they are not the actual movie):

I am still uncertain of how I may edit and end "My Ex Boyfriend." In the meantime, I have made this new short:
