Just wondering...how do you all feel about sexually explicit songs and lyrics by entertainers who have mostly a younger audience of fans. Should they have to tone things down to keep it PG?

Such as this song called "Spectacular" by Kiely Williams, which seems to be about getting wasted at a club, going home with a guy, blacking out, waking up next to him, leaving, doing the walk of shame, but somehow it all equates to the sex being spectacular? Kiely Williams was a Cheetah Girl on Disney with Raven, so this pretty much ruins that good girl image.

Also what about some of Lady GaGa's lyrics and sexually explicit music videos? "We might've fucked not really sure, don't quite recall", "I want to take a ride on your discostick.", etc.. I find myself appalled when I've searched on youtube for videos of these songs and see little kids singing and dancing to them, while their parents are recording them.

    Such as this video:

There's hundreds of other pop and rock songs you can add to the mix which seem to explore and feed the ideas of incest, lust, sex for money, rape, and other erotic behaviors to the youth and those who listen & watch. How do you feel about it? Is it all just art?

In the end it's up to the parents to decide what they allow their children to view/hear.

Also, banning something or making it more taboo only entices people to want it more.

I'd also be more worried about my kids watching the nightly news and seeing images of death and destruction than them hearing about a singers sex life.

I have a kid and the responsibility to raise him is with me and not a musician. No need to censor anyone.

Realistically I think school cafeterias pose a bigger threat to kids then bad pop songs about one night stands.

But that song is an exception though...it's just so bad that there is no way it will make it big...you know? (i hope not!)

The moment we stop thinking of sex as shameful, the world will change. Thank god we find each other attractive.
