She's so down-to-earth like REAL Americans. Not like those ELITES you see on the LAMEstream media.

Not surprising for someone who began as a beauty contestant, later a TV weather reporter. She's just going back to what she's best qualified to do, which is fine so long as it keeps her out of politics or any intellectual pursuit, rather than leading to further brief forays into elective office.

She reminds me of Lisa Lubner a bit. And she did marry a Todd.

she is the product of a perfect storm in american history. she should thank her lucky stars she wasn't born 10 years earlier.

today people are almost universally frustrated with the government, we have the 24 hour news channels, the nearly 24 hour on-demand commentary, the gradual acceptance of women into our political forum (thank you, hillary), and the reaction to our very complicated society by the dumbing down of politics into sound bites and "joe six pack" lingo. these things have all conspired to create a unique stage for her rise in popularity.

5 years ago limbaugh called women like her "feminazis," now, she gets paid big bucks by ditto-heads and others to "preach it" in a sharp red business suit and heels.

i guess on the one hand it's progress. on the other hand it is a gargantuan step backward.

What I find inetersting is if Cal State L A is actually picking up the tab for this after state employess have been laid off and teachers furlowed this just does not seem right I'l glad that Former Gov and the State Atty General is looking into it. The state is nearly bankrupt and they are paying for this!

Actually it's Cal State Stanislaus and I believe it is through one of their foundations that was paying for her -- so probably money they raised through donors, and not state funds I'm assuming. The issue is that under state disclosure laws they are, I understand, supposed to still disclose such contracts and spending and have been trying to avoid that.

because she's a liar and at the very least a charlatan...claiming to be for the "common folk," speaking for the "tea party," an advocate for "joe sixpack."

    yeah, right. icon_rolleyes.gif

She, like anyone in America, is allowed to make a living. Good for her for taking her fame and turning it into fortune.

Oh she should. I think she has every right to cash in and live the high life. She just needs to stop pretending to be a simple down home folksy woman of the people. The day before the Oscars she was again decrying evils the liberal media elite Hollywood machine. She showed up at an event the next day and she and her entourage were witnessed snatching up over 20 swag bags. Love the spotlight, enjoy it. Just don't talk about how much you hate it while you're doing it.

LOL! What do you expect one of the most famous women in America to do...stay at the local Motel 6, eat at Taco Bell, and show up to events in a '68 Volkswagen dressed in Wal-Mart?

i guess i could make a pretty good living as a neuro-surgeon...for a while. and who could fault me if i could pull it off? it's a free country, right?

ultimately, so long as people are buying what she's selling, she can cash in all she likes...she's kind of like those spammers for viagra.

shame on the knotheads who buy what she's selling, though. they deserve what they get...

Sarah Palin has every right to scratch and claw and fight for the vomit green spotlight currently held by Octomom. I'm not sure there's room at the top for two such pieces of white trash, so, Sarah battles on.

It would make a HELL of a lot more sense based on her disparaging comments about spending of late... perhaps she is following up on advice from staffers from the RNC....

Did you even read what I wrote? I said she should be doing those things. I was just pointing out the disconnect with her chosen public personae. She cannot use the term "limousine liberal" while getting out of one herself. Yes, she should get the limo, but don't talk about how everyone else is a liberal elite snob for using one.

Either that or stop dissing the "Elite." She is just showing that the only difference between her kind and the "elite" is that the elite have made it. If you give these "people of down-home, country values" the chance, they will jump ship for the perks of the elites in a nanosecond.

I expect her to be honest with the American people. I expect her to tell the residents of Alaska the real reason why she walked out on them; that she left because she learned she couldn't legally make the type of money she's making while holding office, and that she had to strike while the iron was hot. I expect her to tell the people of Alaska that she doesn't care about them, and that she never did. I expect her to come clean and tell the American people that she doesn't respect the Constitution because she's never actually read it.

I expect all of the wrong that she's done to swing around and pay her a visit in a year or two. I expect her to take a flying leap off the side of a cliff.

That's what I'm expecting from "one of the most famous women in America."
