As a professional chef, it's fairly normal to see tats everywhere, even piercings.
Most of the time you just put in plugs and go about your business. it's really common in my job.

It depends upon the workplace environment and workplace policies.

Generally, observe how your boss presents him or herself, and emulate the dress code of that individual.

And, when in doubt, err on the side of presenting more formal. You can always loosen up a neat and tight appearance.

Remember, you never have a second chance to make a first impression.

I'm all for it provided if it's not a concern to the employers and not a statement about discrimination.
In the corporate world, hopefully it would be acceptable in the future but appearances seem to be about conforming in that environment. A lot of big clothing stores here are quite accepting which is a welcome surprise.

I've never had a problem with all my facial piercings in the workplace and have worn them into job interviews. If they have a concern about it, I let them know that I'm fine with taking them out while I'm at work that way they know all about me from the beginning and not hiding anything that would surprise them once I got the job. And I'd let them know that I could be getting more.
I worked in a kitchen for a while and took out my lip and ear piercings just in case they fell into my food preparation and in the adult store where I work now, I hide my septum because it does look confronting to a lot of people.

Anywhere around here I have worked has a strict policy on it, but I know it's just my city?

How? Well, because when I went to other stores for the company that I work for, they were allowed all of their piercings, an informal dress code and lots of other things and freedom's I could only dream of having on the job...

tbh, they dont bother me at all...but on business standview it would make other feel bit intimated or would not take you serious...though this is only what I think though :i
