    It's definitely Norway for me

Didrik Solli-Tangen is so fine but he won't win. I love the bio on him on the website which starts off "Didrik Solli-Tangen was born on a summer day...." icon_lol.gif

The semi-final is in a couple days. I'm just finally getting around to listening to all the entries for this year's contest.

So far I've noticed that a lot of artists are trying to move away from the typical Euro trash this contest has been about for years. It'll be interesting how these different styles will be received, although who can stop political block voting? icon_rolleyes.gif

While I understand the market appeal of singing in English, some artists really sound horrible singing in English. This year's contest has a lot of songs in English compared to recent years. Of course, many can't help but have a foreign accent when they sing, but sometimes their accent makes it hard to understand the lyrics. Plus I think many aren't quite that comfortable singing in a language they aren't familiar with. I wish more would sing in their native language. For example, I think Germany's entry has a lot of potential if only it had been in German. The girl has a nice voice, but her accent makes her sound awkward in English.
