Haven't dated a Korean guy even though I've been here in ROK for about a year now. But I do have a few male Korean friends, and their pretty awesome. I like the younger generations of hippie-ish koreans who are into trance and will always tell you they hate living in Korea, haha.

It must be hard being gay in Korea? Last time I felt this oppressed I was still in the closet, haha. But it's probably mostly just because I'm a foreigner here, 저는 미극 사람입니다

If I were single and younger and Rain (Jung Ji-Hoon) asked me out, there's no way I'd turn him down.

my current fwb is a korean, but that fact has little to do with why we're "dating." we share a passion for soccer, skiing, and he is learning about sailing, and we are really compatible sexually.

    CRAZY AS HELL!!!

    jk jk

Well, all people are different and you can't really say "Koreans are ___" but there are stereotypes, of course. I don't know about Korean-Americans, but in my experience Koreans have been

+ : protective, generous, romantic, fond of planning occassions/surprises, caring, considerate

    - : VERY short-tempered, jealous, possessive, sensitive, high-maintenance, clingy

Again, it's like if someone said "Latin guys are passionate" or something. Not true for everyone.

I haven't dated a Korean, but like MilitaryWolf, I lived there for a bit last year (tho not as long) and have plenty of Korean friends and all. Definitely wouldn't be opposed to it at all icon_razz.gif, tho.

According to my straight (girl) friend though, at least in her experience she found Korean guys to be needy and a li'l spoiled. Though maybe that was just her experience.

Anyway, I'd rather take Alex from Clazziquai over Rain any day. That boy can really sing and has such a sexy voice. ::swoon:: icon_razz.gif

    YESSSS!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Alex has such a sexy, deep and smooth voice. And he can SING. I melt just listening to him.

It's funny how much love Rain gets overseas. I've always heard from Korean friends that Rain is nothing special, just an average looking Korean guy (with a great body, butterface) and I'm inclined to agree with them...

Ah, the memories. I came out in the ROK. While I don't have a strong sexual attraction to Asian men, I developed some amazing friendships there. Good times.

I have never dated a Korean man. But the only woman I was every sexually attracted to and ever fell in love with was a Korean woman. We dated for nine months until she moved back to the states, I was devestated when she left. She was born in Korea and raised there till she was 9 years old, then she moved to LA. We met in France she was doing a study abroad program and I was living there at the time. Innitially I found her rude, condescending and a total bitch. It was so HOT to me. She is still all of those things, and we are still in touch to this day. She knows I am gay, and she has tried to set me up with guys before. After me she met her future husband and they have been together ever since. I have never met or spoken to him, he's apparently very jealous of me.

Aside from how slow he spoke, that was a great recount of my experience. Sans the social experiment he tried to produce. I think it's ridiculous that I would have to lie in order to get attention from people.

But dating other Koreans guys is nice, just like dating any other guy. The chemistry is what matters. But I guess he was 3rd generation? haha

I briefly dated a Korean man when I first moved to Arizona. He took great care of himself and took good care of me too. Love Korean food.
I also dated an Asian man in Michigan before I left and his family owned this great Chinese restaurant. Needless to say, I think I spent more time eating at the restaurant than I did doing anything else. I love all kinds of Asian food....yyyuuuummmmicon_biggrin.gif

My neighbor for two years was a Korean guy: 6' 3'', wirily athletic and handsome as hell. Too bad he was straight like a pencil. I used to go to the markets with him and his girlfriend. Would've been nice if people thought we were together.

I haven't dated a Korean, but I had one as a roomy for a few months.
Even after playing around a couple times, I still wouldn't date him...but only because we had nothing in common other than sex. The sex was good, though. icon_biggrin.gif
