This Sunday (05/02). The roads will be closed to traffic... it's a unique way to see/tour New York City. Registration is already closed, but I was curious if anyone here will be doing this event. It is lots of fun!

See you at the starting line!

They (sadly) bought out Commerce Bank which gave them a network through a number of north eastern states.

They also raised fees and stopped having free ATM withdrawals at McDonald's. I don't think most people know that TD Bank stands for Toronto Dominion Bank.

lol ya, when I went to NYC I noticed TDs everywhere and was like, WOW, a Canadian company that hasn't been taken over by a US corp, and has actually EXPANDED into the US?? Amazing!!

TD isn't alone but it probably does have the largest US retail presence of the other Canadian banks after their acquisition. RBC has RBC Bank in southeast and CIBC bought Oppenheimer and is CIBC World Markets down in NYC and BMO operates as Harris Bank and is pretty strong out of Chicago ;).

and apologies to yo_mamali for turning his thread about a biking event into one about Canada's banking presence in the US.

    Typical Forum craziness! LOL
