    From www.urbandictionary.com

Phrases and words such as "lol yeah" and "haha ok" that are guaranteed to kill any text conversation.

What are some other conversation killers that you've encountered? Both for email, IM and text (since they are similar in use).

One word replies generally kill conversations in my experience. As the conversation goes on, the word count goes down.

Ha I got this in an email for my urban dictionary word of the day a couple days ago.

I have a buddy I have a crush on that does this all the time... what a bloody let down.

    haha ok

    haha will do

    gotcha

    etc.

He usually always precedes it or follows it with a "haha" which usually means he's done.

    ugh.

These are very useful when trying to weasel yourself out of unwanted conversations.

    I prefer

    "haha naw"

I stop responding when people use "ur" instead of "your." I have a short list of people that are allowed to use emoticons, and only because I love them too dearly to shove their phone down their throats.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidWell, what do you expect? A text conversation to go on forever?

What I "really" mean to say when I text you "lol okay" is Leave Me the F&$&$*#K along already!"

    ROFL THIS!

....and isn't this how phone calls end as well? You talk less as the conversation wraps up and you hang up.

Yeah, wouldn't it have been more interesting if it were about some serial killer out there that killed people who were in the middle of texting?

I mean, it would be a very successful serial killer. People are oblivious while texting.

and sometimes, you don't even have to say the words, just post the photo; it speaks for itself.

I am showing a bit of my generation by txting:

    "cool"

or just an emoticon works too:

I notice sometimes when I try to "kill" the conversation, the other person keeps texting and then I have to employ more and more text-killers. And then people do it to me. Not all conversations should last a long time.
