Muscle Obsession

    QUOTE May 02, 2010 8:29 PM GMT
I think I've been fascinated and rather obsessed with musclemen my whole life. My first crush was Steve Reeves as Superman on TV. Then, muscleman contests and Championship Wrestling! Like a drop of rain on a desert!

Wonder how I got so hooked as a five-year-old.

Do others share this experience, or is musclebuilding something that came later, as a bonus to the gay scene?

I think most men, gay or straight, are obsessed with muscles to some extent, starting in childhood.

It's only natural. We dress ourselves up but we are just apes, animals with instincts going back millions of years. The strongest males in the group are the ones to be admired and emulated.

A lot of those straight kids in the gym have a case of muscle worship and would go a little gay for the right dude (or sports hero). I sometimes wonder is gayness is perhaps just a case of that particular dial turned up a little higher, at least for those of us who are into muscular guys.

My dial is somewhere in the middle, though, I like muscles on a guy but I am not turned on by the big musclemen.

As a young man I was afraid my (hidden) lust for muscly men was a hallmark of homosexuality. Now I know it was just my way of healing the wounds of having an absent male role model.

I'm here to tell you that after years of sex with muscly men I've finally been able to forgive my father for being so aloof and out-of-touch. I'm cured!

Now excuse me while I bang my wife and get her to squeeze out some topogiglets.

I began my gay life looking at and jerking off to Men's Fitness, it was a clean excuse to get semi porn (pre internet) and honestly, I like in-shape guys, but hulks --pass

Great point. And I wouldn't be surprised to learn it originates in our innate desire to procreate.

Yes, even straight guys check out other guys muscles. Seems to be a natural instinct to size up potential adversaries and allies. Obviously in a lot of gay men (including me) that instinct is combined with others. I don't know if I reach the level of obsession or fetishism but I certainly don't mind the big guys icon_smile.gif

I think this needs to be talked about more.

I think this site should be dedicated to the obsession of muscle and muscle worship! All kinds of muscle, big, lean, ripped...but MUSCLE!!

I do think that many straight guys are obsessed with it as much as they are obsessed with pussy or their own cocks. I have dudes tell me who are straight and they like guys who are built and seem to have more respect for them..... I had friends who totally popped hard cocks when we did flex offs

I can also say that I do not think it was a gay issue as much a it was a male bonding deal and muscle worship......even if I did suck his teen cock!! Oh...I was a teen too!!

    NO MORE FAT AMERICA!!

I started with Comics. Batman and Superman got me hot. Just the thought of those skin tight costumes and tight undies. Woof!

WWF was on every sunday during the 80’s. All that man-on-man contact, bulging biceps, poppin’ asses, muscle thighs and flexin' pecs sent me to my room for a quick jerkoff.

I think part of it is a man’s competitive nature. We are always trying to “outdo" each other.

    QUOTE May 03, 2010 12:16 PM GMT
I remember as a kid getting a thrill out of Popeye because he was so strong. Then I started fantasizing that I was strong, but I would have been embarrassed if any muscles were to show. Any feat of strength would turn me on. Even the Star Trek episode where the alien develops the power to control the world with his mind, or Carrie with her telekinesis. All these things turned me on (whatever that means for a 10 year old).

It was when I was around 12 that I realized that I wanted to LOOK strong, not just BE strong. That was when my obsession began. I started to masturbate to Dave Draper and other comic book ad guys. ,

I think my gayness in part stemmed from feeling envious of ANY sort of power, and then I sexualized it by masturbating. This generated mental associations which persist til today (age 45).

Unfortunately, with all my obssession, I never could get obsessed about going to the gym - though I tried many times. So now as an adult I continue my envy of those with muscles.

Anybody interested in treating me to a show some time? Does it hurt to ask? icon_confused.gif
