I just switched gyms because I've been working 50+ hours a week and my old gyms hours weren't cuttin it for me. I wanted to find on that was 24/7 with a lap pool thats always open and I ended up at a gym that costs me $80/month. I love the gym but that price seemed pretty high to me. What do you guys pay for your gym membership?

$79/year annual renewal at 24 Hour Fitness "All Sport" membership. The initial contract for the first 3 years was about 1500.

I can hit any "Sport" category gym (or lower) in the U.S. I've found it to be a great value because I travel a lot. And, they really do tend to be 24/7 which is great.

I used to be a Bally member, but there were no Bally gyms in Hawaii. Also, the Bally gyms were not 24/7.

But now you work out home alone. How does it feel lifting weights and not having the opportunity to covertly rape ambiguously straight men with your eyes through a series of mirrors? It's depressing isn't it. That's why I LOVE public gyms. I rape men with my eyes all the time and love it. I don't like raping myself...because I'm willing everytime and that just loses it's fun.

Hey, sex with myself is at least sex with someone I love.

I pay $0 because as a college employee I get free access to the gym there. Even so, I like working out at home too because in my own home I don't have to wait my turn for equipment, and don't have to worry about getting visually raped. icon_lol.gif

65€/ month which is around $90. It's sad, but I had to choose the closest gym to me or else I wouldn't go. The most expensive membership is the one you don't use, right?

I paid 20 bucks for an entire year because they screwed up the billing. But it's supposed to be 20$ a month.

And getting visually raped is a problem?

Mostly I was just saying that as a way to playfully elbow JakeBenson in the ribs. I have nothing against admiration and "wishful thinking"... I do it too. But you have to admit, there are days when you can't stomach getting cruised at the gym, right?

We're getting off topic... sorry DrobUA.

I currently pay $65/month. There's an Equinox Fitness Club down the street from me with membership at $120+/month. icon_eek.gificon_eek.gif

Unbelievable gym, but not sure worth that price.

Well as people keep pointing out whenever this topic comes up, it depends on who's doing it.

I used to pay $79 a month but just got it reduced to $68. It helps to be friendly to the staff!

    Equinox NYC $170/month

I do pay a little more than basic membership to get all-access. I stick with Equinox because I have favorite fitness instructors that are exclusive to Equinox or Reebok.

Equinox is the cheaper option than Reebok - plus more location, hotter people, and better classes.
