Supposedly Henin broke her finger warming up for Fed Cup so Im going to say Azarenka, suprise winner. And DEFINATELY RAFA NADAL this year! Plus that booty is amaazingicon_eek.gif

I don't know... think despite the finger, she'll pull off a win. Nadal's got it icon_cool.gif

Henin I am taking for sure! She kicked ass this past weekend and was a big tournament win for her! On the Men's side You can go with no other than Nadal!

Roger Federer wins his 17th title on the way to the year he claims the Grand Slam. Federer d. Nadal 4-6 7-6 (4) 6-3 5-7 10-8 in a classic for the ages.

Henin comes back and cruises into the final where she meets Svetlana Kutznetsova who struggled the day before against Serena in 3 sets. Henin wins easily 6-3 6-2.

I would be surprised if anyone beats Nadal this year on clay. He has something to prove after his debacle in Paris last year. Federer seems lost right now, although he hasn't lost to anyone other than Nadal at Roland Garros since 2004. Djokovic is looking better, Ferrer is always tough, Verdasco is looking to be a contender, but Nadal all the way.

The women's side looks exciting. Henin has to be the favorite, although Stosur is looking pretty phenomenal on the surface. I saw her play in Charleston and she was on FIY-AHHHH. Serena gears up for the majors, but she doesn't play well on the surface. Kuzy has solid creds on clay, but her head is massively jacked up at most Slams. Wozniacki is starting to play well and since some of her early losses at Slams last year, she seems to have her head on straight. I'd love for Venus to pull out a major surprise, but she hasn't advanced past the 3rd round since 2006.

Federer obviously, and for the women, i'll go with one of the Williams sisters, I'm guessing Serena...

The men's game makes no sense right now. Rafa has still gotta be the favorite, and while I think he'll win, the knees still bother me and make me wonder if we're starting to see the downturn of his career (although he looked great last week).

That said, never count out Federer. We saw him have a downturn like this in 08, losing early in a handful of Masters' tournaments, but he still make the finals at Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and won the US Open.

Women's side is Henin's if she keeps playing the way she is. But I'll take Serena. Just a hunch. Most of the other woman have the mental toughness to win this tournament, and I'm doubting Kuznetsova is gonna do it again.

Who knows on this! If everyone is healthy, then Nadal could make a run. I see Justine Henin making it a go on the women's side.

Definitely Serena, she will come out of her french open drought and hopefully destroy!
For the men I'm thinking Nadal, but also Verdasco could come through, as clay is his best surface.

I am with you on this..I think Serena is going to win this title and I think she would love to see Justine in her half of the draw with that broke pinky of hers..
BUT I really think Justine will suffer a not so surprising upset to Razi or a random Russian player ranked outside the top 10 but with in the top 32. Petrova maybe...

I don't see Federer getting back to the final if Novak Djokovic is on his side of the draw I can see him going out at the Semi stage.

    Womens dark horse--Venus and Razi

    Mens-Verdasco for sure.

Safina exits early again as usual. How did she used to be top-seeded again?

Roddick, better tennis, less drama. I'm not confident of his chances of going far this time. On the other hand, Ginepri beating Querrey was a surprise.

I always cheer for Djokovic. Not sure what kind of form he is now, though.

Soderling beats Federer in 4 sets in their 13th meeting, snapping Federer's streak of 23 consecutive grand slam semifinal appearances. When he beat Nadal at the same arena last year, I started to wonder where this Swede came from, relative obscurity to owning the King of Clay. Now he proves that was no fluke. Djokovic has yet to challenge the Federer-Nadal hegemony for years, will Robin Soderling be the one person who would finally do so?

Soderling also handed Nadal the #1 ranking by beating Federer

    And here we have it:

Nadal vs Soderling in the men's final (If Rafa wins, he becomes the #1 men's player)

Stosur vs Schaivone in the women's final (1st Aussie in 30 years and 1st Italian in Open era) and the fifth time in grand slam history that two women are in the final with no grand slam title)

Venus and Serena take the women's doubles title and become the #1 women's doubles team in the world.

I'm hoping Venus and Serena both make it to the finals. I love watching them play because their glistening, sweaty, muscular bodies and their sexy grunting always gives me a rock hard woody!
