The Fitness Trail

Recently, I started clearing out a trail around the perimeter of my property. (In my "copious spare time.") The route includes level stretches, lots of steep gullies, dense woods, and open fields - lots of un-farm-able ground. The project kind of lagged when I realized how much poison oak I'd have to eradicate or detour around. So now I'm "planning it more carefully."

Anyway, I thought that "once around the perimeter" might be a good way to start the day, and something (unlike cycling) that I can do with the dogs.

Now I'm thinking of adding some exercise stations here and there. For example, a chin-up bar lashed between two trees, or... well what sort of stations does one put on a fitness trail? Does anybody know of a resource on that topic? Does anybody have favorite trail stations, or ideas for "balancing" such a workout? I'm not really thinking of hitting it balls-out every day - more likely sort of a light cardio pace.

Of course, I'll probably need a beefy drill sergeant to get me out of bed and onto the trail...

Your own personal private Fitness Trail... how wonderful. I always thought fitness/nature trail in some goverment state park (in my country anyway). Looking at your profile you live in some wide open space area, farmland ,plenty of fresh air and beautiful landscape. Are you gonna jog there alone?.

Sometimes I fantasize of having a life just like yours. Simple sweet life, farming, back to basic, starry-starry night. Hopefully with another man to share its with. Surely better then my life now. Doing sales and marketing job, busting my ass to achieve my sales target.Have to battle traffic congestion and city pollution every f-----ng day.

Sorry for the daydreaming. Sorry also that I dont have any idea what to put on that nature trail. However I suggest maybe you can get a partner to go jogging with you.
