Done With Muscle Building 12 week Workout - Now What?

This Friday I will be done with my second go around of the Muscle Building 12 week workout. I don't want to start from the beginning and go through it for the third time. I've totally exhausted myself from it, I've gained a little muscle but not much. I think I've plateaued some as well.

So next week I'm planning on not lifting any weight and just focusing on cardio for a week. The following week then I plan on going back to lifting, but what?

Any suggestions on what kind of workout I should give a try? Has anyone given the Foundation or the Strong and Lean workouts a go? I want to continue building muscle so I don't know if either of those would work for me.

    Any suggestions?

First, a congratulations on your achievement! Thanks for sharing because it gives me motivation to keep going with my own program.

Next, take a moment, or a day, or a week to just catch your breath and recharge from the exhaustion. One thing I've learned is that it is possible to overtrain myself into exhaustion...then it's not fun anymore. Use the opportunity to reflect on what you've accomplished and consider your next objectives with specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-oriented goals.

    Way to go!

For now I'm enjoying a few weeks of HST as an escape from my normal routine. Then I'll take a week off and pick up the P90X thing for an additional challenge. All the success stories here have sold me on it.

As for what YOU should do, well, I don't know. Just do something that you can enjoy, and that'll continue pushing your limits. I would not suggest doing a 3rd cycle of the 12 week program if you've already hit a plateau. That's a good way to burn out.

Uh take a week and do whatever. After that alter the routine. Maybe shift it into intense full body for a month or continue on a mass increasing routine by switching up some of the isolated exercises while keeping combination. Increase the intensity by doing pyramids in conjunction with super sets or burnouts. I found this website and all it's subsidiary links to be helpful.
